2011 Tata Indigo E-cs VX launched in India

Tata Motors seem to be on a revamp. With the recent launch of the 2011 Tata Vista in India, the manufacturer aligned the face of its Manza sedan onto the body of the Vista. However, the first compact sedan in India, the Indigo CS gets a slight facelift as also some interior revisions with a new heart. A choice of a new petrol MPFI engine and a common rail CR4 engine is the highlight of the day. The 1.4 liter diesel engine is borrowed from the Indica eV2 and makes 70 Ps of power along with 140 Nm of torque. Tata Motors have also reduced the weight of this compact sedan by a good 10 kgs.

A central console adorned with wood, ORVMs (electrically controlled) laced with blinkers on them, dual tone beige interiors as also Bluetooth control in the audio system are some of the key highlights. Moreover, the VX range also receives a much needed ABS as also keyless entry. Like the Indica eV2, there is also clutch to start and some improved gear ratios to enable better drivability in traffic. The tyres are low rolling resistance ones planted on 14 inch base. The price for the petrol engined E-cs VX is Rs 497,727 while that of the CR4 engined E-cs VX is Rs 580,339. Both these prices are ex-show room, Delhi. Both these variants come with unlimited kms or 18 months warranty, whichever is earlier.
