Mr. Abdul Majeed, automotive analyst who tracks automotive industry at PricewaterhouseCoopers, India said that the Sport Utility Vehicle category in India has witnessed fantastic growth in the last couple of years and holds maximum potential in terms of Demand. The sport utility vehicle segment has emerged as focus class at 2012 Auto Expo. Also the enhanced road connectivity between towns has contributed to the rising demand for these truck based models. The automobile manufacturing companies are trying their best for capturing the rising demand for small sport utility vehicles in the country; Renault Duster is one such example, which is essentially the rebadged version of Dacia’s product.
