CNG prices may increase by Rs.2/kg

There are strong speculations that CNG prices in India might be increased by Rs.2/kg within a few days. The depreciating Indian Rupee is the main factor behind this. Most local gas retailers in the country that are involved in CNG supply to automobiles get their raw materials either from the state operated GAIL or the Reliance Industries. The raw material prices have increased following the rupee depreciation. Supplies from the gas fields of Reliance have also drastically reduced which is forcing the gas retailers to go for the more expensive imported LNG.

Hyundai HND-7 global premiere at the Delhi Auto Expo

Hyundai India is the largest car exporter in the country and also the second largest manufacturer of cars in India. The company is going to conduct the global showcasing of its compact concept SUV called the HND-7 at the very first day of the Delhi Auto Expo on the 5th of January, 2012. Other offerings from the company will include its three-door Veloster, its Elantra premium sedan and a utility vehicle. The latest variants of the existing company cars including the Eon and Santa Fe are also going to be displayed.

Toyota to Introduce Prius C at Detroit Motor Show & Prius Hybrid Sedan at 2012 Auto Expo

Toyota Prius C or Aqua Compact will be introduced in the month of January by Japanese automaker at Detroit Motor Show. This hybrid model of the company is considered to be one of the most fuel efficient vehicles in the market providing 35 kilometers per litre of fuel economy. It will continue to get same TSD (Toyota Synergy Drive) technology like the original Prius saloon with petrol engine-electric motor layout for propulsion. Powering the Prius C will be a petrol 1.5 liter engine, instead of 1.8 liter powertrain, which is found on sedan, pumping out 72 horsepower.
