Ford India may strip down Fiesta for a cheaper variant
We bought you the review of Ford’s new Fiesta that was launched in Delhi on 28 Feb, with a price tag of Rs 8.99 lacs. With just two days into the launch, Ford now announces that they may cut down the price of Ford models in India, starting with Fiesta to come up to the competition in market. Sources say Ford India may do away with some features in the base variant in order to bring down its cost. The new Fiesta features Automatic PowerShift transmission, which has several features sporting in the entry level Fiesta as well. This package was deemed for a very steep starting price. Our favorite hot hatch is back, and now with a drop-top roof. The most powerful VW Golf GTI will make its debut at the Geneva Motor show next week. Why we love this car so much is because it reminds us of the Mkl model of the 80′s. The Golf GTI Cabrio Concept was revealed at Worthersee VW tuning event in Austria last year, and it has paved the way for the production model. We have already brought to you several of leaked images of the 2012 Volvo V40. By now, everyone is already familiar with every curve of hatch. With just a few more days to Geneva, the Swedish carmaker has officially revealed its new 2012 Volvo V40. The Swedish rival of BMW 1-Series, Mercedes A-Class and Volkswagen Golf claims that the V40 will account about 90,000 annual sales, with Europe taking 85% of production. Peugeot and Ford offered tax exemption for building manufacturing plants in Gujarat
In its continued commitment towards boosting industrial growth in the state, the government of Gujarat has waived off stamp duty as well as registration charges for the car making giants Peugeot and Ford thereby creating a positive atmosphere for both the companies to record their presence in the state. The Industrial Minister of State in Gujarat has also announced that the state government is going to provide further tax benefits to Peugeot and Ford, which is going to include refunding the VAT that the companies are going to pay in the upcoming fifteen years.
