The true-blue three-decade-old off-road vehicle gains a mild exterior redesign, but abundance of safety and luxury revisions inside. A significant update from the current G-Class, it offers well designed, high quality cockpits with fully revised center console and instrument cluster along with a color display between 2 round dials, Comand Online infotainment system with a navigation system and internet access. You will also find Bluetooth wireless connectivity and Linguatronic voice operated control. The additional gadgetry doesn’t take away from G-Class’ original appeal and still has a grab rail for front passenger. The buttons for 3 differential lock options are emphasized in silver contoured trim, whereas being in driver’s field of vision like before. Further customization options from exclusive design spectrum are offered as improvements to the cabin packaging.

The exterior of new generation Mercedes Benz G-Class gains subtle enhancements with all-new outside rearview mirrors, alloys and LED daytime running lamps, which lend it a youthful and contemporary look. It also gets typical AMG radiator grille with double louvers and unique bumpers with big air intakes, which accentuate its true blue off-roading nature. In addition to the typical array of safety features, optional include adaptive cruise control – Distronic Plus, Blind Spot Assist and Parktronic.

Motivation for the new G-Class comes from a 5.5 liter V8 bi-turbo engine, which is good for pulsating 541PS of power. It features a start-stop system as well. The long wheelbase G350 BlueTec is powered by a V6 diesel engine that generates 212PS of power and gets a patented AdBlue, an aqueous urea solution, which is injected into the flow of exhaust for minimizing harmful gases. The engine is mated to 6G-TRONIC Plus automatic gearbox, designed and engineered since 1960 by Mercedes Benz. Over thirty years of a sport utility vehicle from the company have brought the G-Class at par with plenty of off-roaders and premium sedans as well.
