Enhanced version of McLaren MP4-12C to debut at Goodwood festival

Formula one World Champion McLaren will be revealing its enhanced 12C sports car at Goodwood festival of Speed this year. Jenson Button, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver, is all set to drive production prototype version of the revised 12C to the famous Goodwood Hill on Saturday June 30. In addition to that McLaren is also gearing up to reveal McLaren 12C GT3 race car which is adorned with unique attire to highlight McLaren’s support for ‘GREAT’ campaign launched by PM office and Department of Culture, media and sports. The campaign is aimed at redesigning Britain’s international reputation and deliver long term economic benefit.

In 2010, McLaren wowed the crowd at Goodwood with the launch of 12C and last year it came with 12C GT3 at the same event, now for the third year in a row McLaren will debut new version of its sport car. The new version is equipped with enhanced performance and new styling package. The 12C will also include an engine upgrade from 600PS to 625PS in addition to the gearshift and throttle modifications aimed at enhancing the driving experience.

A new range of styling is also available which includes remarkable volcano yellow paint finish and exclusive interiors comprising of high quality leather and Alcantra and new diamond cut finish with multiple wheel design.

The production prototype 12C,whichhas been prepared for Michelin Supercar Run, was showcased in volcano red exterior with optional leather interiors. The new 12C will be available for view throughout the event. The visitors at Formula one are also invited to visit McLaren GT to see GREAT 12C GT3 which shows livery design of McLaren’s own designing team. McLaren group has been affiliated by GREAT for its success in motor sports and its increasing global presence as leading developer of manufacturer of sports cars.
