Mulsanne Vision Concept’s sketches released by Bentley

Bentley’s Azure had once been ruling Bentley four-seater drop-top market for quite a while. It was when the British luxury automaker came up with the Mulsanne that the former car’s throne got transferred to the latter. Now the automaker seems to have something more stored in its box.

Recent moves of the manufacturer have dropped hints towards the Azure getting a successor soon. The one of the first shots supporting the rumor has come up in the form of the Bentley Mulsanne Vision Concept.

The car manufacturer has recently released the sketches of the new four-seater convertible concept. According to the information drawn out from the sketches, the Bentley Mulsanne Vision Concept is to be based on the Mulsanne itself. The few changes that have been made to distinguish it from the base model include six-inch shorter wheelbase, steeper windshield rake angleand a beautiful soft-top.The concept has already been reported to include stainless steel, signature wood and soft leather finishing too.

The regular model of the Mulsanne is already into production at company’s Crewe facility since the last couple of years. As of now, the company is yet to reveal any official news regarding the Bentley Mulsanne Vision Concept, but we all know that the day isn’t far when the company will come up with a green signal for the production of the concept.Under the bonnet of the car, there lies the heart of the powerful beast featuring a 6.75 twin-turbo engine of the regular Mulsanne. The engine is coupled with an eight-speed ZF Automatic transmission. The upcoming Mulsanne Vision Concept car too can be expected to be featuring something similar as that of the 2600kg-regular Mulsanne model.

It was during the 2012 Pebble Beach Concoursd ‘Elegance, where the concept was showcased in metal for a few attendants. Now expectations have risen up for the public display of the concept at the upcoming Paris Motor Show.
