BMW announces Limited Edition BMW 760Li

Luxury car maker BMW has announced a special limited edition model of its range-topping 2013 BMW 760Li V-12 to celebrate 25th anniversary of its first twelve-cylinder model.

The 2013 BMW 760Li V-12 25 Years Anniversary Edition, which reflects the rich tradition of V-12 engines that started back in 1987 with the then revolutionary BMW 750iL, will come adorned with special badges, plaques, stickers and embroidering.

The 1987-made BMW 750iL featured a 5.0-litre V12 engine produced 295 horsepower and 332lb-ft of torque; while the new special edition 760Li will come equipped with a 6.0-liter Twin Turbo V12 engine that boasts 535 horsepower and 550 lb. ft of torque.

The special edition can sprint from zero to 60 mile per hour (mph) in just 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 130 mph.

The special sedan features individual champagne full merino leather, specially badged door sills, headrests and iDrive controllers. Its other notable features are 20-inch individual wheel style 301 with performance tires, A/B/C pillars in black leather, piano black wood inlay in steering wheel, and shadow line exterior trim.

A wide range of exterior colors are available for this new limited edition sedan. Buyers can order the special edition sedan in the color of their choice. They can also choose to add as many options as their budget allows.

BMW will build only 15 of these very limited edition models, and will be made available in the United States only. The special edition car will set you back $159,695 (including destination and shipping). That represents a premium of $20,000 over the standard 2013 BMW 760Li.
