The C-Type brought the first victory to Jaguar at the Le Mans 24 hour race. At the 2013 Cartier Travel with Style Concours d’Elegance that is scheduled on 9th and 10th of February, the C-Type will be making its debut in the front of Indian fans.
The jaguar C Type that came to India is the same car that won 1952 Reims Grand Prix for Sir Stirling Moss. Along with the world famous victory, it also ran at the Monaco GP in 1952 and while in the hands of Moss it again tasted victory at Turnberry and Boreham.
During its first attempt in 1951 it won the Le Mans with another victory that followed in 1953. Some technical innovations made their presence at the race track on jaguar at Le Mans like its disc brakes.
Jaguar has a long history of tradition, dynamism, exclusivity and innovation with its legendry car line up that consists of Jaguar C Type, D Type and E Type. Late this year company is planning to bring its F Type to the Indian soil. This will also represent the return of the Jaguar to the heartland. The F Type is a 2-seater convertible sports car that focuses on performance, driver participation and agility. The F Type will be in the same row of sporting bloodline that goes back to 75 years and consists of some of the most thrilling and exciting cars ever built.
The Jaguar C Type heritage will be portrayed at the Jaguar Land Rover showroom in Worli, Mumbai and will be there from 2nd to 7th of the February. After that it will move to Cartier ‘Travel with Style’ Concours d’Elegance where it will be stationed on 9th and 10th of February. Sir Moss will also be present at the event and will be quite exciting to hear from the legend himself. The Cartier event will be the best opportunity for any auto enthusiast to witness one of the best car that ever hit the track.
