New Jaguar XJR revealed

Jaguar’s performance Saloon line-up has been crowned with the new R version of the flagship XJ. The Jaguar XJR is going to be the company’s star at the New York Motor Show next week.

The famed supercharged 5.0 liter V-8 engine is the power behind this Jaguar product. It produces the same power output of 542 bhp in the XJR as it did in the recently revealed XFR.

Though Jaguar has not disclosed any figure relating to performance for the new rear-wheel Saloon, but as per expectations 100 kilometers per hour (kmph) time closing at 0-5 sec is expected as Jaguar is promising ‘super car performance’ through their new model.

An image of the car released ahead of the New York show by Jaguar reveals an aggressive new look on the XJ to its transformation into the new XJR super saloon.

The further added features consist of large 5-spooke alloys wrapped in low proof tyres, Darkened mesh on the grille and air intakes, chrome trim contrast against the gun-metal grey finish, front lip spoiler and darkened mesh on the front grille and air intakes, making it the most potential XJ ever.

This time, the well known company (Jaguar) has not gone into details of the ‘bespoke chassis and aerodynamic development’, while comparing the XJR to the standard XJ. The full details can be confirmed only after the highly anticipated New York motor show next week.

According to Gaydon-based firm, mixing ‘supercar performance and assertive looks with highest level of luxury’, Jaguar has made the XJR the most responsive, focused and agile Jaguar XJ ever.

As per Adrian Hallmark boss of Jaguar, the new XJR has epitomized the three pillars of contemporary design, technology as well as performance. The tree stands that Jaguar has stood on in the 21st century while attempting and succeeding to do so, to deliver new level of dynamic ability in a luxury saloon.
