Brand New Suzuki SX4 S-Cross engine specs disclosed

Suzuki has disclosed the engine specs of the brand new SX4 S-Cross prior to its introduction planned by late 2013.

Initially, the car was revealed at the highly anticipated Geneva Motor Show, and pocketed claps from both visitors as well as professional persons.

The 2nd generation vehicle will be rolled out in Europe with the option of two 1.6-litre 4-cylinder engines.

The entry level naturally aspirated gasoline motor develops 118bhp at the rate of 6000 revolutions per minute and 156Nm of top torque at the rate of 4400 revolutions per minute.

The 1.6-litre turbocharged diesel engine is able to develop 118bhp at the rate of 4000 revolutions per minute and 320Nm of apex torque at the rate of 1750 revolutions per minute.

The engine will be mated to a 6 speed manual transmission that passes on power to either front or all 4 wheels, with average carbon dioxide release of 110-115 gram per kilometer and fuel competence of 24.3-23.6 kilometer per litre.

The new SX4 S-Cross is 4300 millimeter long, 1765 millimeter wide and 1575 millimeter tall that is around 150 millimeter longer, 10 millimeter wider and 30 millimeter lower as compared to the departing model.

It is also projected that the sedan edition of the said model will hit Indian markets by 2014.
