Over 22K Units of Nissan Micra and Sunny to be Recalled Shortly in India

Nissan India, the Indian arm of Japanese auto manufacturer, is making plans to recall 22,188 vehicle units of its popular cars including Micra hatchback and Sunny sedan in the nation, owing to a defective braking structure.

As per reports, this recall seems to be a part of firm’s universal exercise with the intention to fix this problem.

The Indian division of Nissan Motors will be recalling those cars that were made between June last year and March this year.

While showing his viewpoints on this, the representative of Nissan Motor India stated, “The auto firm is carrying out a voluntary recall drive on approximately 67,089 Micra and Sunny cars in the Indian (22,188), Latin American, European, African, Asian, and Caribbean, and Middle Eastern zones in order to put back the key brake cylinder.”

But, the report also stated that the auto manufacturer has not got any such grievance from the Indian automobile zone thus far and as a result, it is an intentional recall.

Elaborating the cause for this recall, the representative stated, “When running the braking arrangement beneath light braking force, the client may experience longer brake pedal travel. In severe cases, decreased braking recital may take place and consequently the braking distances needed to discontinue the car will augment.”

When questioned regarding when this recall will be officially declared, the representative stated that the report will be circularized in the coming days and it “proposes to start notifying clients shortly.’

The statement further stated, “The Company’s retailers will reinstate the master brake cylinder at no cost to the client. The company is dedicated to a high level of client safety, service and pleasure and is functioning with its traders to swiftly deal with this matter.”
