The Toyota Innova received its first facelift in the year 2009 and the present car is also a facelifted model which was launched in the year 2011. Now in 2013 again, Innova is going to receive another facelift. Talking about the front of this new model, it gets a larger chromed grille which endorses 3 vertical slats. The front bumper has also being redesigned and showcases new fog lamps, air dam. The fog lamps are surrounded by a chrome strip.

The car’s rear, as evident from the image, shows minor changes when me compare it to the present model. There is a thick strip of chrome this time, above the number plate. The chrome strip is stretched at both the ends. There is also an extra set of reflectors bordering the enclosure of the registration plate. The bumper has been mildly modified. The tail lights and sheet metal have been left unchanged. The combination of lamps is the same as seen in the 2011 facelifted model. Since this additions made to the car’s rear are not very grand, Toyota can sell these add-ons as accessories.

Toyota Innova facelift

The question remains that will this facelift be a success? Well, to be honest, Innova has not been a success in the Indian market due to the aesthetics. The Innova has been a success for Toyota Kirloskar Motor (India), Toyota Astra Motors (Indonesia) and for all its subsidiaries. It has been one of the favourite passenger cars for the masses since its launch in 2004 largely due to its practicality and cost effectiveness. The biggest challenge for Toyota will be to replace Innova with an even better vehicle.
