Mitsubishi Shogun Barbarian Launched in UK

Mitsubishi Motors of UK launched the Shogun Barbarian in SWB (short wheel base) trim for a starting price of £31,999 for the manual transmission. The top end trims that comes attached with the auto gearbox drops off for £35,134.

Positioned above the Shogun Warrior, the Barbarian is deployed with chromed ORVMs, short front overhang, upright windscreen, strong high flanks, flared wheel-arches, 20” gloss black / silver dual colour Le Mans alloy wheels and rear-mounted spare wheel. The Japanese off-roader will be made available in the showrooms in four colors, namely, Black Pearl (Pearlescent), Frost White (Solid), Eiger Grey (Metallic) and Cool Silver (Metallic).

Comforting the changes made to interiors, it can be noted with the L200 Barbarian style leather interior with carbon inserts, Colour coded spare wheel cover, AC, GPS navigation, DAB digital radio and Alloy pedal kit.

Under the bonnet it continues to do with the 3.2-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel engine of 197 bhp (147 kW) and 441 Nm (325 lb-ft) of torque, which is connected to a five-speed automatic or manual transmission. In the manual guise, the model is transformed to accelerate from 0-62 mph in 9.7 seconds before hitting a top speed of 111 mph (180 km/h).
