Renault-Fiat To Jointly Build LCV In 2016

Sometimes rumours had it, but this time we don’t know how factual this news is. A source on wired media is found claiming Fiat and Renault to be building LCVs in collaboration; the agreement is already inked.

LCVs will be based on the Renault platform and styling to be done by Fiat. Unique and distinctive elements will be employed to make it badge under Fiat Professional.

Manufacturing will happen at Renault in France starting during second quarter of 2016.

However, there are no such concrete confirmations that can be justified at the moment with regards of model plate. Shedding light on the Renault’s existing line-up, it includes, Kangoo, Trafic and Master. All of them are available in a range of lengths, heights and body styles.

On the other side, Fiat Professional’s line-up includes Doblo, Scudo and Ducato as the majors, while the city-sized Fiorino van and Strada ute are also there.

Renault has remained the top-selling manufacturer of light-commercial vehicles in Europe for the past 16 years.
