Bentley Grand Convertible Concept Unveiled For LA Auto Show 2014

Bentley Grand Convertible concept revealed ahead of Los Angeles Motor Show 2014 is nothing new for the designers. They have chopped off rear doors and roof from the Mulsanne. Instead, they would have called as Mulsanne Convertible for a better recognition.

However, the car is still in the conceptual stage and is on display at the LA Auto Show.  It cannot be exactly worked out whether the same may go into production or not. But the Bentley Chief Wolfgang Dürheimer had claimed if the response will be adequate then the car will hit roads in a very limited number just for collector buyers.

As per Bentley, there is enough of styling cues to entice the onlookers and make way for four-adults in the cabin. Listing down the style gimmicks in specific details, starting from exteriors, the sequin blue shade is thwarted throughout the body, except for the windscreen and hoods where they have got the job done with silver liquid metal finish.

Cabin replicates whole new story of Bentley craftsmanship. As the space inside the car is trimmed in 14-naturally tanned leather hides, diamond quilted seats with cross-stitches (by hand) running in sequin blue enhances the treat further. Well, the most significant part is tonneau – flattered in Burr Walnut – featuring the largest piece of wood ever applied to a Bentley car. The parallel lines in chrome steel on the tonneau teethes more sophisticated attire.

After the display at Los Angeles Auto Show 2014, Bentley Grand Convertible will then foray towards Miami for Art Basel, world’s international art-show of modern and contemporary work.

Under the hoods, there lays a 6.75-litre V8 engine of 530bhp and 1100Nm of torque.
