BMW 1-Series Facelift Revealed

Apparently, it cannot be doubted the 1-Series was in an immense need of getting a facelift. To make it happen, the officials at BMW broke down the barriers and unveiled a new avatar of the hatchback on the paddock of virtual media.

Does it look the same? Reportedly, it is going to get flesh at Geneva Motor Show this year, where the distinction can be figured out at ease. But those who can’t hold longer, for them there are differences at the front and rear fascia.

The chunks of amendments made are in the drivetrain. That 1.5-litre engine of Mini is now fitted into the 1-Series, but as the BMW drives on rear axle, engineers fitted it longitudinally. In the diesel trim, there will be the 1.5-litre 3-cylinder unit of 114bhp mated to 6-speed manual for many international markets, where no word of it is delivered about India.

The performance trim of M135i will feature the six-cylinder of 3.0-litre good for producing 322bhp, claiming 0-100kmph in 4.9 seconds if went with automatic transmission, and 5.1 seconds in the manually transmitted trim.

The options of 3 and 5 door both are given.
