BMW i8 Spied At BMW Dealership In India: Launch Soon

BMW’s stand at Delhi Auto Expo 2014 may not have seen huge fans of Sachin Tendulkar (cricket legend and also BMW brand ambassador) than those who came to catch the first glimpse of i8 on Indian shores.

However, now, no auto expos or other events emerged on this land to give another insight of that, but a source of industry dared and spied the spanking new i8 in one of the dealerships of BMW India.

Factually, the auto-expo’s example was a left-hand drive variant, but this one is rightly done to suit the local driving norms as possessed the right-hand drive fixtures.

Power to the bay is sent by a 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine good for 231PS and 320 Nm of torque

The electric motor adds another 131PS of power and 250Nm of torque. Both of them in total serve 362PS and 570Nm.

The drive terminology says, its 1,485kg of weight is easily pushed by to the 0-100km/h limit in a flick of 4.4 seconds, but the engineers had electronically restricted to stop at 250km/h. On the pure electric charge, i8 can clock maximum 37kms with the max speed reaching 120km/h.

Hence, the BMW’s hybrid sports cars is like a concept being driven on the roads, but since every of them had their own complications, this one is like a car with sports dynamics but isn’t so racetrack-friendly as the Porsche 911 and others.
