Mid-Engined Hyundai Veloster Spotted Testing

Though, Veloster is still a restricted material for some markets, but that hasn’t made Hyundai to wait for long to bring out a version that would typically entertain the enthusiasts. This large-size hatchback that once made a debut on the shores of Mumbai way back is now spotted testing in South Korea in a mid-engine enclosure. That’s true, the hatchback performed well in its past years, but this new addition is speculated to spruce it towards a new lease of life. A wider body, massive vents on rear, two doors, and low ground clearance are some cues that mimic the prototype for a mid-engined machine.

Don’t know what went wrong with the designers this time; the reason, they painted the entire car black leaving doors and mirrors in white and silver.

Apparently, the rear mid-engine Veloster from Hyundai hadn’t suddenly resorted to the road out of nowhere. Speaking about its root, company has officially unveiled a Veloster Midship concept last year in March designed by the team that lent its expertise for the i20 WRC. The car termed as mini supercar on the clause of its 2.0-litre petrol-based displacement producing 300bhp. Furthermore to support its character, the chassis faced stiffness and a lighter suspension built of aluminum took place just to handle this immense power off the two-seater Hyundai.

Well, at that moment, the Korean carmaker cited, Veloster Midship is to explore the possibilities of its chassis. But now it seems Hyundai appears to drop the old Veloster from its list and launch the new-gen model in international market that could also serve a lot of other purposes other than the transportation.
