Toyota Registers Whopping Growth Of 62% In March 2015

Couldn’t figure out what is making Toyota to sell, is it the Innova, or the reliability it holds in Indian terrain. Though, whatever it is, the company registered whopping growth of 62% in the month of March against the same month of previous year. As per data, Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM) rolled-out 13,333 units during the month as compared to 8,206 units of March 2014. With this impressive output, TKM also ended FY 2014-15 on an outstanding note of improvement of 10% against the FY 2013-14.

Inclusive of exports, last year the Japanese carmaker shipped 812 units from this country during the month, which has now surged to 1290 in March 2015, where most of them were Etios.

Commenting about the company’s achievement, Mr. N Raja, Director and Sr. Vice President for Sales and Marketing at TKM said, it was the new launches that contributed chunk of sales. Ranging from new Etios, Etios Cross, Etios Liva, Altis, Corolla, Innova and Fortuner, the entire fleet received makeover and without an exception all remained as strong pillars of this growth. Obviously, the cars like Corolla Altis, Innova and Fortuner continue to dominate the segment, where Innova completed its journey of a decade last month.

Additionally, TKM is proud to get accepted on this large note. In fact, the quality parametres of Japanese also convened them to deliver dual front SRS Airbags across all cars starting from the base models. This in return must have gained more trust amongst the audience, believes N Raja.

For TKM, the trend of double digit growth started from November 2014 and since then it hasn’t stopped yet.
