Suzuki Unveils 1.4-litre Boosterjet Turbo-Petrol Engine In Shanghai

Still lacking crucially on diesel, Suzuki followed the easier way and unveiled a 1.4-litre Boosterjet ‘petrol’ engine at Shanghai Auto Show.

Technically, the 1.4-litre Boosterjet is based on sibling called 1.0-litre Boosterjet – the turbo motor that got unwrapped on the stage with iK-2 concept.

Thus, from the 1.4-litre machine, Suzuki claims to offer dynamic performance and outstanding mileage where the fuel will get pumped via a direct injection. Weight reduction technology leaves it with optimized layout to fit the norms of various sizes and weight scales of various markets.

Hence, Suzuki had said to launch the 1.4-litre Boosterjet in China first, followed by other international markets.

On a personal note, the Japanese maker shall also bring advancements in the diesel technology of its engine lineup to actually attract buyers of countries like India.
