Isuzu Motors India Launched D-MAX Air-Conditioned And Cab-Chassis Variants

Followed by staggering response from buyers in India, Isuzu finally geared up and launched the D-Max in two variants: Air-Conditioned and Cab-Chassis.

The pickup truck in the country is still looked upon a small commercial vehicle, unlike as a lifestyle product than those available in US. Still, due to some conscious buyer and business houses, the pickup segment in India is witnessing a good surge for the market it caters to. And Isuzu with huge expectations had brought the two vehicles on Indian shores, of which one is the D-Max pickup. Today, the Isuzu has extended its range and rolled-out air-conditioned and cab-chassis variants in the country to meet the surging demand and expectations of buyers.

The maker had started selling Single Cab Flat Deck D-Max with a factory fitted air-conditioner, which will offer a breezy drive to the buyers who majorly go for trips in the hot sun, especially across the high-temperature zones.

The other new variant called Cab-Chassis will fulfill demands of business owners operating businesses like Food & Catering, Perishables, Hardware, FMCG, and many more. With this new trim on offer they are now able to construct the bodies as per their convenience. Apparently, this new trim will pay the maker in huge number of sales. A single-cab chassis, and the long bed to raise the structure is what everyone in India demands, said a one of the source.

Commenting about those additions of new variants to the lineup, Mr. Naohiro Yamaguchi, Managing Director, Isuzu Motors India suggested, a comprehensive range is now up for sale in India which will help business owners from diverse backgrounds to meet their needs.  Both the variants are made to suit the buyer’s conditions in India. A standard air-condition is what everyone needs. And the tailor-made cab chassis will figure out various new groups which were apparently left out in the initial phase. ‘Go More, Do More and Get More’, is echoed clearly in these new vehicles, said Mr. Naohiro Yamaguchi.

Hence, as per the official release, no amendments are carried out on the technical aspects. It continue to do with the same 2.5-litre, four-cylinder intercooled and turbocharged diesel engine married to a five-speed manual gearbox. The machine produces max power of 134bhp @ 3,600rpm and 294Nm of peak torque @ 1,800-3,200rpm.

Isuzu in India is on the expanding spree and planned to inaugurate 60 outlets by end of 2015-16. At present, the maker is enjoying presence with 20 dealerships across the cities like Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Bangalore, Noida, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Visakhapatnam, Calicut, Cochin. Rajkot, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tirupati, Lucknow, Ludhiana and Indore.
