2016 BMW 750D to Get Quad Turbo Engine

Grapevine has it that the 2016 BMW 750D, which will be part of BMW 7-Series, will make its debut in the international market fitted with a six-inline quad turbo engine. This engine is also slated to be offered with the 50D versions of the X5 and X6 as well as with the upcoming X7 SUV. This engine will probably replace BMW’s inline-six tri turbo engines.

As far power and output of the engine is concerned, rumors has it that the engine will churn out a whopping 400bhp of peak power and 800Nm of peak torque. The power from engine will be delivered to all four-wheels and the engine will be mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The engine will have a higher mileage compared to the tri-turbo unit that BMW currently employs.
