In the last series we have mentioned only three tricks to get the best possible savings on new car purchase, whilst of the remaining part to be mentioned in this series. As we all know, and had already said in the last prescription as well, the purchase of new car falls quite tougher than the old ones sometime, and to be true the mentioned below insights will help you to get the better derivations on newbies.

Depreciation – The Killer

Dealer deals the metal most probably when the profit section falls heavy on his part and in most of the cases offers and discounts are given in ‘larger than the life postures’ which hence makes our mouth watering for the purchase to happen as soon as possible. Wait, before going splashy on the big discounts, find what is going underneath the hat of dealership! Exactly what happens, the car which is standing for a long time in showroom, and has a wide depreciation in the buying-selling point, or in short with “lesser resale value” are bestowed with lush of discounts and freebies, hence before making the right decision, cross check it with the pre owned dealers how that particular model plate is fairing in the used car fraternity. However, it sometime feels that, though how much brownies the car scores on critic’s scoreboard but tends to sink down very badly due to the resale market value, and to an extent it sometimes also depended on the brands as well. Taking an example from the clutter which is quite different from the auto industry i.e. “technological world of mobile phones” where at a time Nokia was standing with more than 90% market shares in horizon, and trust me all was due to the massive resale values, which the other brands like Samsung and such were deprived-off in spite of having advanced features in their kitty at a competitively lower price. Sorry for throwing you off the beaten track, but it felt necessary to get the things simplified in layman’s language. So the next time before getting into the showrooms make confirmation about the decided model resale value, will definitely help you to better understand the insight of pricing strategy.

Don’t tender discount against the ‘Special Offer’

The moment you entered the dealership premises, everything starts coming towards yourself, and sometimes we make the deals ends by referring ‘special offer’ against a ‘discount’, which is quite not have to be done in the case of new car purchase. Dealers often get the things in way they want as, precisely he says, discounts on finance and insurance had usurped their actual profits and so he is unable to pass on that extra amount of benefit. At this point of situation we say, don’t tend to barter discounts against the special offers, because if one sees on the larger picture, then offers are meant to be a part of their daily schedule, maybe to clear the inventory or so, but the discounts are directly inclined from the auto companies, and so it remains uniform at all the outlets. Trading-off the discounts for special offers will be your loss and seller’s profit, if possible we suggest ask dealer for both of them together, which is quite not possible at times, but what goes in asking them, may our luck tend to be standing frugal at that time and we may walk home with zen type smile on faces. Well no one knows what lies beneath.

Be peculiar about the ‘Old Car Exchange’

In this point, we are again back to the basics, which we have already mentioned in the first point of this article, and that’s “Resale Value”. The resale value of old car at same dealer where you are going to buy new car may land in the section of loss making deals, unless and until you are willing to do the things without hassle. As a norm, the dealers often tend to have their piece of price in old car exchange dilemma and to be true they fill in the pockets by such new means even landing you with heavy discounts on the new car purchase. The best option is, do the rounds at doorsteps of used car dealer and know how much does this old piece of metal is going to fetch. Even if one is not achieving the desired rates, then he may face towards “internet lobby”, which now is having a lot of options popping every now and then. Just similarly one of my friends had scored an additional Rs. 25,000 on his old Santro by referring web services, which the dealers were not even reaching closer to the spot that he had achieved via internet selling point. Trust us it is the fastest catching trend in industry and had expanded a lot in size and as well as volume, with thousand of options to choose from without even paying a penny, in sense brokerage or so other charges.

Take the maximum time to shop around

‘Maximum shopping time’ here it means explore as much options as possible. It is the human tendency, what falls near to his society he preferred to be stricken with that only, even though if that particular selling point charges a bit premium than others. In this case, one tends to compromise on the tags which its slotted dealer had said, even if he is asking more than others. Our suggestion is to get the list of possible dealers in your city and visit maximum of them to know what is going on under the hat of everyone. Many a times it is seen, the customers buy the car from his nearby access but when he sees the bit far away situated options, a wide gap of difference falls in between both the selling points. Just in the case of metro cities, it happens the way, the places in main town claims to be costlier than the ones who are situated in the outskirts. For example, a steep difference taps in between the cost of ‘Thane’ dealerships against the ‘South Mumbai’ dealerships. Well we think this one is now clear. To be factual, in my own experience, my friend circle also go for this strategy even buying bikes, which leaves them a difference of around Rs. 5,000 – Rs. 10,000 in the two wheelers purchase, so think what the heavily bucked car could give in on the save.

Hope so all the clarifications are sorted peacefully, but if still something which is lying in one’s mind then can contact us via your comments or other means.

New car purchase is as tough as buying the used ones, not in the sense of inspecting cosmetic or technical clichés, but here it is for cracking the best deals possible, as we all have our hard earned money then why to let them flow away with the car dealers for of no use. We have been flushed in with a lot of feedbacks from the visitors about not-so good deals from the authorized dealers, as price tags varies from each of them, and that is true in all the sense, yet being a part of same organization.

Though, we have chalked out some close crisps which will help you in saving a lot on the new metal and have parted it into two parts namely 1 & 2, so right now this is the first one, followed by second later on.

1. Pre-Purchase Search:

One can also call it as “homework” and we too will be comfortable if said the same way. Doing some sort of research starts with the home, in sense internet, where the blunders of them are available, and one should not get restricted to that itself, also go out and talk to friends or relatives who had purchased the similar model or the same brand. This will lead you to figure out dealers and their characteristics, from where you can put on the actual work into force. Make sure that you visit every dealer possible to you, and note down very precisely what they are offering and how much they are asking for. Uttering a lower quote of the other dealerships may sometime land you in the bunch of additional goodies and that too for a lesser cost, because “competition stride” is enough to make every customer a priority.

2. Know the inside game:

Car dealership looks very much sophisticated on the outer but there lie a number of crevices inside where sales staff tends to loosen your pocket string and en-cash a good amount of sales figure. It most probably goes with the one liners like “this deal is available for today only”, while you may get the better ones tomorrow, who knows, “let me ask my boss to give you discounts” and many others. On the back side of flip, all the sales staffs are well informed with what is the minimum price to let the deals happen, but getting more out of it is for their living cost, so be aware of their tricks and take your own time to make purchase, don’t do it in a quick stance.

3. Discount on Finance:

Sometimes buyers don’t pay a lot of attention to after-deal factors like finance and such. One need to be very careful while calculating the finance options, sales person lures you with some mouth-watering discounts on finance but there lie a lot of complications underneath, where they gasp in bits and leave you with more of purchase cost, in an overall calculation. It is in this way, when you go for discounts or a lesser EMI at initial stage then, but obviously, latter part gets heavier in the process which will be bear by you only and not the dealer. In layman’s language, interest remains big for the big amount, it doesn’t shrinks, be wise to make calculations and understand those cunning measures. If possible take help of an accounts expert to get sorted out of the numerical crunches.

TSI is a familiar badge from Volkswagen that had won many accolades for its makers and no doubt it does also stand frugal to the title for which it is well-known.

There lies urgency behind the every invention and VW seems no exception to it. However, we hadn’t went deep on that part but what came to us was that, Germans wanted to make an efficient powerplant and that too with reduced emission, this had given a throw to VW engineers in 2005 and what the outcome was we can see today in front of our eyes. However, if still that is unconvincing, then we also had a couple of award tagging which it has acclaimed some years back, while those are, the Best International Engine of the Year ’09 and Best Green Engine ’09, both in the category of 1.0 – 1.4 liter.

Lest of all, the particular crank that had freaked the mind of engineers was, being specific to consumers need. The need was, more of power just like turbocharged petrolheads and efficiency to match that of diesel engine. If one can name them, it will be easy to say as a combination of both TDI diesel and FSI (Fuel Stratified Injection) engines. Taste of the global auto consumers were changing at that time due to rising petrol prices, where at some places they did not want to shed down the excitement of petrol driven cars but also to gain the efficiency of the diesel ridden bugs. These complications can be sorted out only in petrol, henceforth the ideology of various engineering spruce it up from behind.

Basic framework behind this was, engulfing a direct petrol injection with turbocharger. One may say that, turbocharger is available with many of the carmakers so what’s the difference in this metal? To one’s answer, all of them suffer from “turbo lag”, which basically takes a while to move on when the gasoline pedal is pressed, but TSI is free from those clutters as being deployed with a lot of torque even at lower RPMs. Drivers can derive maximum NMs even with the lower flick of 1500 – 1800 revolutions, resulting in a reduced fatigue for them. Meanwhile, a cool amount of power can be experienced throughout the speed range in a cover of less gear changes during the process of driving. Therefore it yields a low amount of fuel consumption with remarkably reduced carbon foot prints.

Its Working Ideology:

The core concept that was laid behind TSI was reduced cubic capacity. A Trimmed down engine leads major factor namely, “enhanced fuel efficiency”. In true sense if it is viewed, then some other pinning that contribute to this terminal are lesser weight, reduced power loss form friction and hopefully less weight shift in the car.

Meanwhile in another context, a six bore fuel injector is aligned with the engine in such way that it efficiently distributes the fuel mixture within combustion chamber. Then the new type of water cooled intercooler takes on functioning on itself for reducing the volume of charge air system, by employing low-temperature circuit which is not dependent on the engine cooling system. As a result, a high charge pressure builds up more quickly and thus, chops off time taken in combustion chamber for reaching it to the maximum charge.

Nowadays, Volkswagen also says, research for further refinement is a continuous process in R&D center and no stopping will be followed on the posture, just its drivability.

In TSI, one can have a piece of its own choice without compromising on any of the fronts.

What to look for when buying a used car? This question always pops up when we get to see some of the beauties at a pre-owned dealership. We most probably take along with us the well known of industry or the one who is an expert in the field, while it may be a mechanic as well, for giving a review to the eye soothing “used” metal candies that we had been looking for last some weeks. But if being provided some tips then buyers also can do the check themselves without taking support of those jacks. Mentioned below are the seven tips which we had derived as major ones to be remembered while pondering over the used vehicles.

1. Engine Clutter:

Engine is known as the heart of vehicle and if that portion itself is not sounding properly then one has to be a bit worried. While here we are not discussing that much in detail but it can be also judged from the oil filler cap. After lifting the bonnet if it is found that cap is hiding some brownish sludge underneath then must raise the warning alarm in mindset. It may also be ringed when the blue or black kind of sludge surfaces instead of brown. All those factors indicate that there is a problem in the engine bay, so avoiding those preferences is always a better option. As one can cannot completely fix those sort of issues, and though if tried, then must stood ready for paying a big chunk of repair bills.

2. Inside Out:

Interiors are the ones which gives an original feel of the car at its best. And nowadays, it is seen that, more of the owners tend to revamp their old buggies with advancement of new interior tweaks, just we can see Ambassadors, to an extent Tata Sumo etc. in the workshops of DC and others. Doing an inside job is not some cheap sort of crank but levies a hefty amount of expense. The various interior glitches which are meant to be seen when inspecting a used car can be named as tear and burns on seats, carpet and headliner. All of them sounds very easy but bites more from our pocket when being talked of replacement or repair. Lastly, seat belts must also not be neglected because ‘safety comes first’. Risking our lives for benefit of a cash saving spree will not be termed under ‘smart move’.

3. Exterior Crisps:

Exterior of the car reflects its owner’s personality so must be spiked to shine always, while this may not be possible with the pre owned departments, that’s because paintjob gets faded due to the sunlight after using for a certain time and to an extent one cannot fix those lost grounds back again. But over here, on outer crisp it is necessary to also look for uneven panel gaps and rust. Both of them almost lead to change of body panels, yet another heavy shell-out. To perfect on all these doubts, one can do a do a sneak peek with the car. The door apertures and spare wheel well tell true story of those cunning glitches. And also to achieve a 10/10 on the paintjob, must see inner side of bonnet because it portrays some sprinkle of new paints if it had been performed. Here we suggest, factory painted is the best option instead of a redo to it.

4. Test Ride:

On a test drive, most of the pinning doesn’t come out easily and to make that happen, steering, brake and suspension check are a must. One should see that steering is accurate as well as smooth and does not tilt on either of the side when being left uncontrolled on a straight uneven stretch at some high revs. If it does reflect ‘negative’ results on the check then there is something fishy inside. While on the time of braking, a car should be hauled in a perfect posture instead of getting skid out of the track. An importance should also be lent to chunk of noise if created by the suspensions during test ride.

5. Electrical Fuss:

Electricals gremlins are the ones which connects owners to the cars and vice versa. All the minute streaks like switches for light, windows, stereo, seats etc must be checked properly. Don’t let even a single one to escape from the prying eyes. Also make sure that, AC vents are blowing hot and cold air seamlessly without any bad odours and fluctuations.

6. Rubber Fumes:

All the engineering and technicalities comes to a halt when tyres fall flat and most probably very less audience gives preference to those pieces of rubber. Contradicting to this side of the flip, for some people tyres are a complete engineering in itself just like the car. Let’s not get deep into the question “How”, we just want to conclude, treading must be in abundance on all the four pieces while it should be also looked for gouges, tears and bulges on the sidewalls. Some may think that it is anything else apart from the black piece of rubber, but in auto fraternity those comes as a most attended strata after the engine and aerodynamics.

7. Documentation:

Paperwork proves the street legality of a car and though if that lacks somewhere, then one may not be able to drive the vehicle on road, and as sooner or later it will end up on the dark platform heavy penalties, court hassles and maybe some of the tenures in imprisonment. While that is an exceeded vision of the uncertainty, but such sort of scene are nowadays becoming a common sight in our day to day life, all thanks to Traffic Police Department! An assured bundle of papers namely, service history, registration document and pollution document tends to be verified on the fortifying note. Excluding those, it is necessary to approve those inked booklets even by a documentation expert because there maybe some local issues that a common man does not knows better than the geniuses, e.g. transfers, loan dues etc., that are all the serious ones not something negligible.

The administration today stated that the fabrication of passenger cars dropped slightly by around 1% y-o-y to around 15.9 lakh vehicle units from the month of April to the month of November this year owing to factors such as slow monetary development and soaring rates of interest.

Mr. Praful Patel, Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises stated that owing to the augmentation in the fuel rate, low growth pace of gross domestic product, inflated material rate, lofty rates of interest and slow economic development, the fabrication growth (of passenger cars) has decreased to a marginal 1% from the month of April to the month of November this year as compared to the same period of the last financial.

Out of the 16 auto makers, 9 firms have recorded diminished fabrication, three additional firms have registered just slight growth (below 4%) and only 4 firms have been performing well, Mr. Praful stated in his written reply.

Among the auto firms, which recorded a drop in production during the initial eight month period of the existing financial, Fiat India Automobiles saw a 47% decline in its overall production, accompanied by Mercedes Benz India, which posted 26.8%, GM India recorded 23.7% and VW India filed 23.2%, Mr. Praful stated referring to Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) statistics.

But, Mr. Praful stated, firms that did well in terms of cars fabrication in the period under appraisal consist of Renault India that recorded a y-o-y increase of 616%, Honda Cars India 83% in addition to Toyota Kirloskar Motor, which posted a growth of 19.8% and Nissan Motor India registered 13% increase.

As per Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers, Mr. Praful said, passenger car fabrication in the domestic market was mounting at a rate of more than 17% in the past ten year period.

Additionally, Mr. Praful said, to enhance the fabrication of automobiles, a variety of steps have been considered in pursuance of Automotive Mission Program (2006-16) and the latest Foreign Trade Policy presents extra motivators.

Motomax Dashboard Polish

Motorcycle and car lovers spend a plenty of time to help their vehicles look new by preventing the fading of plastic, vinyl and rubber surfaces. While most of modern bikes and cars are increasingly becoming a bit too complex mechanically for the average owner to fiddle around and thus needs experts; keeping dashboard, plastic, vinyl and rubber surfaces fit and new is still mostly in the hands of owner of the vehicles.

Motomax range of car care products, from Pidilite that is well-known for its adhesive Fevicol, are extremely successful in keeping your vehicles new, plus these products are easy-to-use and require bare minimum efforts for application. One of these products called Motomax Dashboard Polish is very efficient in restoring and protecting plastic, vinyl and rubber surfaces of your vehicles. Motomax Dashboard Polish is especially designed to restore gloss and protect the vehicles against UV (ultraviolet) rays.

When used on the vinyl, rubber and plastic surface of the vehicle, it has been found very successful in fights against the evaporation of moisture and thus protecting their shine. However, before using this product, one should keep the following things in mind: the surface where the polish is to be applied must be clean and dry and there should be no traces of oil, dirt or grease; Motomax Dashboard Polish should be applied with the given foam applicator; the polish should be spread evenly on the surface; and already faded and dull surfaces will require two or more coats.

Following the application, it restores new look instantly and provides beautiful luster to the surface, and prevents future protection against fading and cracking. It is quite ideal for use on dashboard, door panels, two wheeler consoles, bumpers etc.

Available in various packages, ranging from 100 ml to 5 ltr, Motomax Dashboard Polish is thus an affordable polish that has capabilities that no polish from a rival manufacturer provides.

Motomax Cream Polish

Even new motorbikes and cars start looking dull and dry if are not taken due care of, thanks to increasing pollution on the roads. Pollution, direct sun heat, dirt steal gloss from your vehicles and thus make them dull and dry. However, there is a solution also – the Motomax Cream Polish.

Launched by Pidilite Industries, Motomax Cream Polish is especially designed to restore glossy look and imparts an exceptional smooth feel to your motorbike, scooter or car. It is very effective in giving your vehicle high gloss and extra shine and leaves a long-lasting coating to the polished surfaces.

It works and intensifies surface shine and smoothness on both premium and ordinary vehicles, but it is ideal for metallic paint. Available in various packages, ranging from 60 grams to 230 grams, the Motomax Cream Polish is affordable also.

Before applying the cream, surface of the vehicle must be clear and dry. There should be not dust, grease etc on it. After ensuring that the surface is clean and dry, apply the cream polish evenly across all surfaces with the given sponge. Let is dry until it turn a misty white. Then use a clean and soft cloth for buffing. When we applied Motomax Cream Polish to our car as suggest, the car gleamed with a dazzling shine that appeared straight out of the factory.

But, it should not be used in direct sunlight or if surface is very hot to the touch. It is also not recommended for use on metallic plastic trim, vinyl, simulated wood, flat paint and rubber bumpers.

After the use of the Motomax Cream Polish, your vehicle will be ultra clean, well protected and looking just like a new one.

It is available in different packages. Motomax Cream Polish is thus a reasonably priced polish, which has potentialities that no polish from a competitor maker offers.

Motomax Car Shampoo

Exposure to prolonged pollutants like smoke, dust and dirt steal vehicles’ beauty by making them look dull and dry. As pollution on roads is on the rise, it has become essential to give vehicles due care to help them look beautiful for a long time. Washing the dirt and other pollutants out of the vehicles on regular basis is the best way to keep vehicles look young and beautiful, but many car owners make use of household detergents and dish washing soaps to wash their cars but these homemade washing solutions can hurt vehicles’ paintwork and make them ugly. But don’t worry; Pidilite Industries offers an efficient solution – Motomax Car Shampoo.

As the painted surfaces of vehicles are sensitive to strong detergents, it is always recommended to use mild car care shampoos such as the one that Motomax offers. Unlike you homemade detergent and dish washing soap solutions, Motomax Car Shampoo washes out all dirt and pollutants from the surface of their car without hurt its paintwork. It can clean your in such as great way that it will look as if it is just coming out of factory gates.

Method to use: Dilute roughly 10 ml of Motomax car shampoo in a bucket of two-three litres of water, and then rinse it well and form lather. Wash the car with the diluted shampoo using a sponge or a smooth cloth. Rinse the car with water till all the shampoo is washed away.

Then, take a dry, smooth cloth and wipe off all water from the car.

Like any other other automobile shampoo, Motomax car shampoo should be used with the car’s windows closed.

Pidilite has priced Motomax Car Shampoo at Rs 50 for a 100 ml pack. As a 100 ml pack can give as many as washes, each wash works out to nearly Rs 5, which is very really very economical.

Mahindra is presently one of the biggest names in the Indian automobile industry said to be one of the most thriving automobile industries across the world. Verito might just be the newest kid on the block but it boasts of 23 new features which were not there in the antecedent version of the car.The previous version might not have garnered a good response but this time the company is leaving no stones unturned to make Verito a success. What is it that makes Mahindra Verito different from others? The above few sections will throw Verito under the scanner following which we would determine as to whether Verito has a better stance than its counterparts or not.

Exteriors: -

Mahindra has fitted the new Verito with a new front chrome grille which looks much better than that of the previous one. From the front angle, Verito gives an impression of a Skoda car owing to the design of the front grille. But altogether, the grille is much better than what the previous Mahindra-Renault grille was. Not only the front grille but the headlights of Verito have also been given an altogether new design. As per the new design, the indicators which initially used to be below the headlights towards the side will now be seen on top of the headlights. This gives the car an altogether new appeal from the front side. There are hardly any cars on the Indian circuit which have their indicators on top of the headlights. Every component of the front part of the car has been changed. Along with the front grille, there has been an upgrade in the front bumpers as well as the fog lamps which have been made to be much more intense and brighter than the previous version. Thus, Mahindra decided to keep limited exterior features of the previous version in order to give the customers an impression that this indeed is the successor to the first version of Verito. This time a new component has also been upgraded in the front part of the car. Mahindra Verito’s windshield wipers have been positioned towards the right side of the screen according to the preference of the driver’s seat which is on the right side.

Moving towards the rear part of the car, we will notice a slight change in the pattern of the taillights and the bootlet has also been equipped with fine creases which make it look much more impressive. There are reverse lights that have been put on both the taillights. Earlier version of Verito had a reverse light on only one of the taillights instead of two. This time the number plate has been fitted to the bootlet of the car instead of the rear bumper.

Thus, altogether the design of the new Verito suppresses the previous design.

Interiors: -

Once we have entered the cabin, the first thing that most of us would notice will be the buttons meant for power windows. In the previous version of the car, Mahindra put the buttons on the central console. This time, the buttons are located on the respective doors which in turn is much more convenient that before. They say beige adds zest to the interiors of any car which is the reason why Mahindra decided to cover the whole dashboard as well as seats with beige leather. Just towards the right side of the wheel, the mirror control as well as the central locking control is located. If we look below the wheel, we’ll come across the bonnet height control button which controls the elevation of bonnet as per the convenience of the driver.

Coming to a few recursive features, the dashboard as well as the central console might be equipped with electric buttons but this does not take away the primordial or archaic appeal of the same. Mahindra could have come up with a new design of the console which would have made it seem more modern. The dashboard has Mahindra Verito logo on it. Another downsizing feature front he safety point of view is that Mahindra Verito has only one airbag for the driver and none for the co-passenger.

Coming to the backseat, there are three head-rests which point to the fact that three normal adults can easily be accommodated there. Since accommodating three normal adults would not be much of a problem, thus we can easily say that the body of the new Verito is much wider than that of the previous version of the car. There is ample boot space as well as leg space for passengers.

Thus, new Mahindra Verito clearly sidelines its predecessor when it comes to the exterior features as well as the interiors.

Ergonomics: -

In the previous sections, we have stumbled upon the fact that the new Verito has been designed to give a much better appeal to the customers owing to its looks. But even then, there is an irony which can be petrifying. There is hardly any difference in the price of the new one when it is compared to its antecedent. This does point in one direction only. Mahindra might have given a new and much more eye-catching exoskeleton to Verito but outlook only doesn’t count as we have to know what’s new beneath the hood of the car. Maybe this is the reason why there is a very small gap of hardly 8k-18k between the prices of new Verito and former Verito.

The major systems which used to be there in the previous version of the car have been directly pulled out of the previous version and thrown into the new one. Both Mahindra Verito models boast of 1.5 Litre Turbo-diesel engines which has the capability to churn out maximum power of 68 bhp along with a rational value of torque. The only advantage this time is that the new Verito’s clutch is much softer than that of the previous one. There has been a slight change in the suspension as well due to which the car is now more capable of treading through rough terrains or uneven roads. In the previous version, there were many customers who had complained regarding the suspension of the car as it was not able to tread properly over rough terrains. This is the reason why Mahindra decided to focus more and emphasize on the clutch as well as the suspension so that no customer can point a finger at them. There are a few factors which are downgrading in the case of new Mahindra Verito. Car agility was something that Mahindra Verito (previous) was known for. But this time, the new Verito fails to be as agile as the preceding variant. But even then, the new Mahindra has proved itself to be much more comfortable than that of the previous version both in terms of looks as well as ergonomics.

Safety & Additional Features: -

Last time, Mahindra had taken views from customers and had promised that all their preferences would be taken into consideration following which they started working on the new variant of Verito. Safety features for the new Verito have been taken into consideration but there have certainly been some loopholes as the new version has just one airbag instead of two. Coming to the tires, Mahindra Verito is equipped with durable tires which can make the car tread through uneven roads without much of a hindrance. The new fog lamps fitted to the car are capable of giving a much brighter luminance than the previous version. This will help the car to move even when the visibility is low.

Price: -

The price of the diesel variant of New Mahindra Verito has been fixed at Rs. 6.26 Lakh whereas the subsidiary petrol version’s price starts from Rs.5.27 Lakh.

A new inspiration always paves a way for a new offering. Mini SUV is a concept that had not yet found a concrete platform here in India but over the past few years, the scenario has somewhat improvised. Premier was one of the first to launch Mini SUV Rio on the Indian roads and now it seems that its presence is about to be rumbled by Mahindra as they have brought Quanto amidst a lot of glares and hype. Quanto is basically a downsized or alternately miniature adaptation to Xylo. Mahindra Xylo came with a wave and was an instant hit. In the same way, the enterprise as high expectations with Quanto as mini SUVs are now being looked up to by automobile enthusiasts. But apart from the exterior design, what more does Mahindra has to offer? This is where we come into picture and put Quanto behind the scanner. From exteriors to interiors, ergonomics, price, etc Mahindra Quanto will be analyzed inside out.

Exteriors: -

On the first look, one will straightaway be reminded of Xylo if the observation is done from the front side. There have not been any alterations made in the front part as the headlights remain intact as they were in the predecessor version. The front grille is the same as that of Xylo with a minor change in the headlights which can be ignored with a hind eye. Mahindra Quanto is the company’s first and maiden Compact SUV which is the reason why the design of the car was to be made in such a manner that it appeals to the general audience.

Moving towards the hind part of the car, Quanto is bound to attract eyeballs owing to its rear. People might think that the inspiration was taken by Skoda Yeti or Premier Rio but there is still some disparity which pushes Quanto away from Rio and Yeti. Quanto is 4m long which is perfect for a Compact SUV and ride height is also convenient for those who are tall. There are primarily 4 variants of Mahindra Quanto which will be seen on the roads namely C2, C3, C4 & C8. The rear part of gives a typical crossover appeal with headlights fitted high and a signature Mahindra tire holder which gives it a sporty outlook.

INTERIORS: -

If exteriors have been stamp-marked as praiseworthy, then the interiors are no less as Mahindra Quanto holds enough space to comfortably accommodate 5 Adults with two jumper seats additionally attached in case more passengers are there. Starting with the driver’s seat, it can be inclined to a greater angle as per the comfort of the driver. The height of the seat can also be adjusted in case if a short-heighted person is manoeuvring. The dashboard has been done up well as per the body colour of the car. Despite of two jumper seats in the rear, there is a lot of boot space that is available in case if the driver wishes to carry luggage. The rear seats come with seat belts and both the fronts as well as the rear passengers have enough room to stretch their legs and sit comfortably. C6 version and C8 versions of Quanto come with integrated audio system better than that of C2 and C4. 2 Airbags have been provided for the driver and passenger’s safety. Reverse parking assist ensures that the car is parked at a considerable distance from any obstruction and gives out an alarm when the car is too close to a hard surface. Mahindra was instrumental in putting the micro-hybrid start-stop technology in the car which makes starting as well as stopping the car easier and hassle-free.

ERGONOMICS: -

This is perhaps one of the most important and defining categories on the basis of which one would like to go for this car. Since it has been earlier mentioned that Quanto will come in four variants, thus we can presume that there would surely be ergonomic disparity which separates one variant from the other. Primary model of Mahindra Quanto boasts of a 1.5 L, 3-Cylinder twin-turbocharged diesel engine of CRDi configuration which is capable of churning out a total power of 100 bhp along with peak torque of 240 Nm. This very engine has been codenamed as mCR100 by Mahindra and has been tuned up with a five-speed manual transmission control gearbox. A new feature is the twin-scroll turbo which is perhaps one of the most compact twin-turbo diesel which gives Quantoa very imposing performance.

MILEAGE: -

Being an MUV, it has an impressive mileage and since the engine beneath the hood is powered by diesel, thus we can naturally expect the car to give a commendable mileage. Mahindra Quanto gives a mileage of 17.21 kilometres per litre. Maybe Ertiga fares better than Quanto when it comes to mileage as it gives 20.77 kilometres per litre but Quanto on the contrary beats other MPVs in terms of performance.

SAFETY: -

A car of this scale would naturally be equipped with the latest safety features in order to keep the passengers safe. As it had been mentioned in the interior features above, Mahindra Quanto will be having two airbags for the safety of the driver as well as the passengers. The exterior body is made up of refined metal which can bear impact of a small collision course. The tires of Mahindra Quanto have high durability and have been designed in order to maintain optimum traction control. This hinders the car from slipping off track and helps it to gain a strong hold of the road with adequate balance of friction.

PRICE: -

Mahindra Quanto has been launched in Mumbai with a price range of Rs 5.8 Lakh- Rs 7.36 Lakh. This is the ex-showroom price of the car and the overall on-road price will be a little more than that as Mahindra is providing insurance as well in order to safeguard the financial background of its customers respectively.

People dream. A dream can be anything like a vacation, a dress, owning a house, living at some particular place or even owning the perfect car. Every person has a different dream car in mind. It depends on the age and personality of a person to judge the dream car for himself. The person chooses a car according to the status he has, occupation he follows and place he stays. College going kids would love to own some sturdy sports cars while office goers would always dream about a classy SUV or sedan which would be comfortable and perfect suit for their profession and status. A female will look out for something which is simple, easy to carry and equally rough in use. It always varies in choice.

A dream car is something which satisfies all your needs and is a best suit for you. It should have everything at its best. Style, mechanism, cost effectiveness, services, reliability and guarantee all these things are taken into consideration. A car which matches all these things and satisfies all the criterions is the perfect car for any person. Also this dream car is something that you happen to receive as a gift or win in some contest by weird luck in play then your happiness knows no bounds. It might happen that the cost of your car is cut down to certain extent like almost a 50 per cent discount. Imagine the feeling you have. Everything just seems out of the world. But yes this is the car which you always wanted and now it has turned out to be a dream which has come true.

Anyone and everyone on the face of this planet, has a dream of owning a Lamborghini or an Italian sports car. Audi is one of the best choices that people make too. It looks perfectly corporate, speaks volumes of an individual’s go-getter attitude and looks unimaginably lavish. The make and style of this brand attracts people and has a huge fan base too. Porsche is another brand which many people would love to see parked in our portico or garage.
