Fiat Automobiles has launched its limited edition Linea Elegante in India at a price of Rs.9.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Linea Elegante is not much different from the Fiat Linea and sees only minor changes made to it. Some of the changes that can be seen on the exterior of the Linea Elegante are new 16-inch alloy wheels, redesigned rear spoiler, new decal, a new panoramic black roof, and an all new sporty body kit. As far changes on the inside of the car is concerned, there it gets a new 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, new seat covers and new floor mats with the Elegante branding. Fiat-Chrysler is planning to invest $280 million to start the production of Jeep models in India from 2017, through an expanded joint venture with Tata Motors. Sergio Marchionne, Chief Executive at Fiat-Chrysler said that he is pursuing ambitious sales targets for the brand. By 2018, the automaker wants to double the sales of Jeep models. Mike Manley, Jeep Chief stated that local production for some of the most significant markets is key to meeting that goal. In addition to Alfa Romeo, Jeep is at the heart of Sergio’s $54 billion expansion plan by merging Fiat with Chrysler.
