EcoSport is one of the most awaited vehicles in the market and something that makes it even more viable in Indian market is the growing interest of the people in compact SUVs. Already compact SUVs like Renault Duster and Mahindra’s Quanto is doing quite well in the sales and EcoSport with all its hype will surely make things different. Exclusive picture of the Ford EcoSports have been running over the net that was spotted in Pune. The Ford EcoSport is expected to launch in March 2013. The several images of the EcoSport were clicked that shows a bunch of vehicles going around Pune. But images shows the rear part of the vehicle and front part was not revealed.

Ford India aims for the peak, hoping to start Sanand Plant by 2014

The Indian market prospective has always been on top for the car manufacturers. They have always been keen on expanding their network in the Indian market after China and US. Running in the same lane, Ford India is also planning to brand India as its one of the largest exporting hubs for its several models. And to do that company is going to initiate the production at its Sanand plant situated in Gujarat by 2014. According to the words from President and Managing director of Ford India, Joginder Singh with the start of this new plant, the Ford’s total outlay in the India will reach to about $2 billion out of which about $1 billion will be arriving just from Gujarat plant.

Ford Driving Skills for Life Trained 7000 People Since 2009

The onset of New Year brought an increased number of deaths caused by road accidents. Major reasons behind these accidents were road rage, drunken and careless driving. It was observed that 80% of the total victims who die in such accidents are usually in age group of 15-40 which is said to be the productive force of India.
Ford being a responsible carmaker taken up the issue to curb down the number of such accidents. It provides free training under its Driving Skills for Life (DSFL) program. Ford reveals highly fuel efficient version of Fiesta hatchback

After launching its Fiesta hatchback, American auto maker Ford has now revealed its highly fuel efficient version of the car for carrying cargo in Europe. The Ford Fiesta van mainly targets the small business units that always seek high fuel efficient vehicles. The diesel engine in the Ford Fiesta van delivers about 27 kmpl or more of mileage with sub 100g/km carbon emission. The Fiesta’s ECOnetic technology increases the fuel saving and delivers mileage around 30 kmpl with about 87 g/km of carbon emission.

Ford EcoSport bags SUV of the year award in Brazil

Ford EcoSport has already brought a lot of laurels to its American auto maker. After so much of appreciation and applause it has bagged another award prior to its launch in India. The SUV has bagged SUV of the Year award in Brazil, where it is on sale for quite a long time.
Ford EcoSPort is expected to be launched in India by March 2013 and will possess the award winning 1.0 litre Ford EcoBoost engine. The 1.0 litre EcoBoost with only three-cylinder is powerful enough to compete with any 1.5 litre 4-cylinder engine. The engine delivers maximum of 118 bhp at 6000 rpm with the peak torque of about 170 Nm, taking it above all its competitors.
