Honda Cars India Introduced Any Time Warranty Scheme

Service aspect is another quotient which nowadays automakers are pushing themselves hard into the context for achieving straight sales in their pockets with better ownership experience. Reportedly, Honda Cars India finally announced to provide the buyers ‘extended warranty’ with their products. Conventionally, Honda cars do come with 2-years standard warranty, whereas the company has now offered ‘Any Time Warranty’ scheme, under which warranty can be extended for up to 7-years after the date of purchase. As per their guidelines, owners of Honda can gain the benefit of this scheme under two conditions: the car should not be older than 7 years, and should have not have clocked more than 100,000 kms on the odometer. Owners fitted into these conditions can go into dealerships and walk out with an additional warranty of year or 20,000kms at a time. The warranty can be purchased anytime under the 7-years of purchase.

Under ‘Any Time Warranty’ service Honda Cars India promised to cover the replacement cost or repair cost of the parts that are subjected to warranty if found faulty. The cost of owning this service from Honda depends upon the car models, previous service records and condition of the car. Hence, the warranty scheme isn’t applicable only to newbies or current lined up models of Honda, for e.g. Amaze, City, Mobilio, CR-V and Brio. Instead the owners of discontinued models like Civic, Accord and Jazz too can avail it if they fall under the aforementioned conditions. It is advisable to visit the nearest Honda dealerships for better details and terms and conditions.

Honda Amaze Spotted With Body Kit

Amaze’s vision surely looks to amaze in 2015, just as it had already did since the launch till date. Now, a body kit added to this small sedan of Honda, spied at its testing facility in Noida, had sparked rumours of getting launched with the RS badge apparently.

The success of Honda Mobilio RS must have been the real culprit of challenging the Japanese automaker for bringing up this new creation for Amaze as well.

Well, the smoke of this fire conveyed only minute but important cosmetic changes with that rear spoiler, exhaust finisher and side skirts. Eventually, the City too was made available at a dealership with additionally accessories (matching to RS badge). Now, the company wants to take on that trend official pocketing some additional cash apart from the standard revenue generated.

Honda Amaze Spotted With Body Kit

Last week, the Brio and Amaze both got engulfed with Honda’s AVN (Audio Video Navigation) system, where the official also cited to bring the most competitive Amaze ‘CNG’ as well. However, the diesel Amaze already delivers whopping mileage, but still a CNG could be a justified option for those thrifty urban buyers who don’t wished of spending much on the diesel trim and even gaining better bargains passing through the fuel-stations.

Hence, admitted, a good effort from the side of Honda, but the competition isn’t settled yet, as Maruti is reported of developing a Dzire facelift for the India launch soon, where no spy-shots have arrived yet.

It will be interesting to see the Amaze adding numbers to sales report just with the addition of accessories, where the nail seems to have been hammered rightly in the tug of war.

Plans for 2015 are clearly laid out by carmaker, working their best bets for milking most impacting results. A precise confirmation is already revealed by this website bifurcated as the upcoming hatchbacks, sedans, SUV and so on. Now, one more list is chalked out of that. This caters the facelift or the new version of existing models in India launching by 2015.

Tata Nano Twist Active

Tata’s intention with Nano is pretty much clear – to make that world’s cheapest car more usable in nature than anything else in the price band. The last launch with power steering was called as Nano Twist, now an Active tag is going to be attached further, which will result as addition of tailgate. And there are possibilities of AMT gearbox making its way here. So, the input of such a transmission to the drivetrain will definitely enhance the driving ergonomics, and would convert it into cheapest automatic car in the world.

Hyundai Verna Facelift

It’s the last year when Verna was given retuned suspension and a new kit. The latest model that got unveiled in Russia is bound to make its way here during early 2015. Comparatively larger headlamps, full LED tail lamps, long air dam and new fog lamps enclosure makes it more worth of the package. In driving lane, the petrol version will see a six-speed automatic against the four-speed. Hence, the one bound towards India will not be marginally different than those available in international market.

Volkswagen Jetta Facelift

Almost a year Volkswagen launched mildly facelifted Jetta in India. Now, the company is in talks of bringing the latest version as well to the shores. Well, last time it was only the LED headlamps added to the sedan, but now it is sounded to get a through makeover. Slimmer LED taillights placed higher, and wider air dam for better aerodynamics are for the external appeal. Inside the cabin, there comes the company’s new corporate steering wheel, clearer and bigger dials in the instrument cluster, and high-resolution trip computer. In the engine bay, diesel will be carried over from the current-gen but would be increased by 10bhp in power output.

Honda CR-V Facelift & Diesel

It’s been evidential for cars priced above than Rs 14 lakh hadn’t performed so well than those slotted under it during 2014. But, since Toyota is doing well in the segment with its Fortuner, then there lays a fair chance for Honda to take that challenge. Factually saying it, CR-V is sold in India only with a petrol engine, where the dominating diesel drivetrains had taken over everything else. The success of Amaze and City with diesel engine had conveyed it to bring that option here with a 1.6-litre i-DTEC unit churning out 118bhp and 300m of torque. The facelift will receive changes with the front grille, bumpers, lights and even some addition in the equipment list. There will be only front-wheel drive version coming to India, whereas the fuel-efficiency is astounded to be class-leading here with prices expected to be slotted between Rs 24 and Rs 27 lakh.

Top 10 Most Fuel-Efficient Cars Of 2014

“Kitna deti hai?” the famous question asked by every Indian whoever visits a car showroom. It is obvious the cars in India are still a ‘status quo’, whether it is an Alto or a Merc. For very few of them it serves as the utilitarian purpose, where if worked out the ratio then it would be near to 20-30 percent of car buyers. However, the auto industry is thriving on such luxurious notations. For a more drastic example, a German automaker, which we didn’t wish to name, is suffering huge losses of entering the Indian market for the reason its cars fails to deliver that fuel-economy which the competitors are giving away. Despite numerous efforts tried, still that performance of the fuel-economy isn’t scored. In short, though how best engineering you had, it’s the fuel-consumption that almost makes the buying decisions. The scenario in 2014 had changed drastically, where earlier the Indian automakers used to rule the domain for the fuel-economy got taken over by the international automaker that also offers the best of engineering, low maintenance cost, and at the end of day they had strike the best efficiency amongst the segment rivals. Maruti Ciaz Diesel

Maruti’s long lost fight for the sedan segment got into action once again, and it’s the Ciaz as a warrior for this battle. However, the company used all the tricks and treats to please buyers with the design and features on-board. Incidentally, it also managed to boast the fuel-efficiency to 26.21kmpl (as per ARAI) from the diesel engine of 1248 cc, which has thrown it on the number one slot of this countdown by dethroning the Honda City diesel to second.

Honda City Diesel

The new Honda City was in the whir of industry to be delivering that same wide grin on its buyers face even with the diesel. And that’s simply delivered! To know in detail, this Japanese made sedan, which costs quite heftily than the rest in its class, now with the diesel is selling in whopping numbers than that of petrol just for delivering 26kmpl out of the newly made 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine.

That cutesy small nose on front with the bowtie logo hides a notorious 936cc three-cylinder engine, which returns 25.44kmpl. It is one of the smallest diesel cars in India priced efficiently since the launch.

New Ford Fiesta

Ford‘s aggression after the EcoSport was observed to be settled in a cold low. But our speculations got wrong when the automaker launched new Fiesta with the fresh front grille and an outstanding fuel-economy of 25.01kmpl for the diesel buyers. The changes made are quite generous in nature but not so great in numbers. However, we liked that Aston-Martin-ish front grille which makes the sedan more dominating.

Hyundai Xcent Diesel

The Hyundai compact sedan made a late entry to the party, but though it still had its claim of delivering the 24.4kmpl from a 1.1-litre diesel engine. Number of segment’s first features and the fluidic designing makes it to shine out of the crowd.

As Honda has launched its Amaze quite earlier, that still boasts better fuel-economy than Hyundai…said in case to clear the conflict between both the carmakers.

Honda Mobilio Diesel

Honda’s venture in the MPV market was recorded by the Mobilio which can be said as the most needed car for this segment. That same 1.5-litre diesel engine of the Amaze and City also churns the fortune here for its maker by striking 24.2kmpl as per ARAI. The seven-seater and yet compact to be tweezed easily into the tight corners, has made the Mobilio to do better in terms of sales. Even the pricing is worked out rightly against the rivals, also striking the rivalry chords against different segments with regards to its ‘multi-utilitarian’ appeal.

Maruti Alto K10

Maruti Alto – addressed as one of the world’s highest selling car – now received facelift in India and also the option of AMT gearbox making it to be the cheapest automatic car of this country. A new front grille with bolder profile, and some minute but significant changes inside the cabin, makes up the Alto facelift. The fuel efficiency of 24.07kmpl has remained one of the eye-catchers on the specification list despite being gunned with the benefit of AMT.

Toyota Etios Facelift Diesel

The facelift launch of Toyota Etios gave the car a push for the years to come before ending its life-cycle. However, the facelift isn’t remarkable, but its 1.4-litre diesel engine is good enough to clock 23.59kmpl. Hence, it must now do rightly against the rival to make a better cut above the rest and shall peak the sales like MPV Innova is performing in its repertoire.

Maruti Swift Facelift Diesel

Maruti Swift being celebrated as India’s most sold premium hatchback, and also one of the admirable cars after the Hyundai Elite i20. At the fuel-efficiency, it is claimed to attain 23.04kmpl as per ARAI.  The 1.3-litre diesel engine sourced by Fiat (Multijet) contributed a lot to make it a most successful product of the carmaker. In order to see through a better perception, Swift facelift is the highest fuel-economy achiever amongst its segment which too got a revamp or a facelift recently. Hope so, the Swift lovers now relished one more reason to rejoice.

2014 has made an end, and all of us will say a good bye soon to it, where on the flipside a bright 2015 awaits our gleam. Remembering from our past mistakes is said to push ourselves better on the lacking. But good morals extracted from our memorable works helps to stand firmly and do those deeds with better grip in the future. And that seems the reason why all of us remember the best of past year to commemorate a better purview of the future. Here, listed down are the great car launches of 2014 that have said yes to the automaker to get going aggressively ahead. Read on to find more.

Maruti Celerio

The first one to name that gorgeously marked 2014 as its brightest part of life has to be the Maruti Celerio that started the trend of going automatic at pocket friendly price tag. Priced from Rs 3.90 lakh onwards this car has hit the nail right on its head and even compelled other automakers to change their decision and go with the AMT if wished survival at the earliest.

Maruti Celerio

Nissan Datsun GO

The winning streak that Nissan was aiming for the long past in India against Maruti and its likes was attained after the launch of Datsun GO hatchback. Honestly speaking, GO has all streaks that were needed to go at the starting price of Rs 3.12 lakh. At the cost of a compact car, here, one can buy the complete hatchback with a powerful engine and enormously spaced cabin. Psst…GO+ MPV is also on the way to launch soon in 2015. Well, that may perhaps conclude the best of 2015.

Nissan Datsun GO

Honda Mobilio

Honda’ sales got that deserved boost after the launch of first diesel with Amaze followed by new City. But what about taking the success story on a next level; and there came the Mobilio to handle the dropping sales where only Maruti Ertiga was a major rival for cashing that particular segment. Starting at Rs 6.49 lakh, one can also buy the most stylish RS model at Rs 10.86 lakh. Must admit, despite being a MPV the Mobilio looks smart and precisely shaped like a nicely fitted suit especially in the white paint shade.

Honda Mobilio

Tata Zest

Tata’s best proportion of the marketing team and their strategies cannot get better than this. The launch of Zest in 2014 made a mark of being the cheapest diesel automatic car now available in India. Starting for Rs 4.64 lakh in petrol trim and Rs 5.64 lakh in diesel the sedan goes a step ahead in popularizing that AMT gearbox when maligned with the diesel.

Tata Zest

Hyundai Elite i20

The i20 that had always stayed ahead of the rest and at times also made a cut above than its strict rival Maruti Swift has finally notched altogether to a new platform with the ‘Elite’ model. European looks on the outer and ample of features, that how the Hyundai had strategized this car in Indian market for a starting price of Rs 4.89 lakh which all the way goes up to Rs 7.67 lakh is opted for top-end diesel trim, comparatively equal to the amount asked for a compact sedan.

Hyundai Elite i20

Toyota Etios Cross

Toyota’s only model that could be remembered for this year is the Etios Cross. As based on the Etios hatchback, it is galled with plastic cladding and raised ground clearance for appearing as the substitute of compact SUV or a crossover without compromising for the drive comfort of hatchback. Skid plates, bull bars, muscular bumpers, roof rails are other additions that this car boasts at a starting price of Rs 5.76 lakh.

Toyota Etios Cross

Fiat Avventura

Fiat’s Avventura is a shortcut to the compact SUV as utilized the hatchback Punto to climb up this segment. Honestly saying, the work done by designers must be talk of. That spare wheel at rear and the other additions with a raised ground clearance makes it a perfect buy starting at Rs 6.06 lakh, where options of petrol and diesel both are given. Hence, the success hungry Fiat had thrown an adorable option to the market which others are needed to look up to.

2014 New Toyota Corolla Altis

Very few may know and may have spotted on the road; Toyota Altis 2014 avatar had silently made the debut. But it can be taken into consideration with regards to its segment as there is no other so remarkable model came out in 2014 for the repertoire. Starting at Rs 11.99 lakh, 2014 Altis is the 11th generation of Corolla in global market, which is of great importance as India also got to see the best of Toyota’s most sold car around the world.

2014 New Toyota Corolla Altis

Maruti Ciaz

Maruti after a gap of seven years once again housebreak into that sedan segment which the SX4 earlier used to cater. In fact, it is the fate of Maruti making it unable to sell cars above the price point of hatchback, or else can say at an approximate bracket of Rs 10 lakh. Despite after several attempts the company had once again ventured into this segment. Ciaz on the cosmetic front looks very dated to outdo rivals, but is it really going to do so in the long run, that can be judged only in 2015. However, this year it has earned enough sales and apparently had compelled some to change their minds over the marketing strategy. Selling hot from Rs 6.99 lakh onwards ex-showroom, the automaker had sold a decent number, but still can’t say anything about its future due to Maruti’s history in this segment so far.

Maruti Ciaz

Hyundai Xcent

We know the Hyundai i10 Grand was developed to deliver a sedan based on the same platform in the near future. Xcent is quite good for value, but seems the Honda Amaze had fallen first in this category, and there seemed Xcent is slightly late to the party. But not to worry about, Hyundai perhaps know well how to market its product and sleek out that profitable quarter from the product. That’s where the Xcent stands strong at the starting price of Rs 4.66 lakh.

Hyundai Xcent

Audi A3

Ultimately, the show stopper of 2014 is Audi A3 which seemed to have a last laugh at the hatchbacks of BMW (1-Series) and Mercedes-Benz (A-Class). Price starting from Rs 22.95 lakh the A3 sedan is a complete Audi in compact sedan model but that competitive slot of pricing has allowed it to eat up the sales of many other cars (from down the line segment) apart from those top-three German carmakers. And to the surprise, the convertible version is also launched (only in petrol version) priced at Rs 44.75 lakh making the brand to kill many birds with a single stone and walk the talk as of a true lifestyle inspired automaker that combines utility as well. A3 is the best example to say that all!

Upcoming Hatchback Launches In India 2015

Hatchbacks marked significance importance in lending a giant leap to the automotive horizon of India. Since the bridging gap of price between SUVs/compact SUVs and premium hatchbacks taken the tug of war on front foot, the latter segment has turned a bit sour on the part of excitement that used to be delivered during those earlier days. The expected hatchback launches of 2015, inclusive of compact and premium both, will give an insight whether the other segments like entry-level sedan and those SUVs/compact SUVs will bite in more than they are needed. Or the compact would stretch farer than they deserve to. Scroll down to spill the beans…

Tata Nano Twist Active

Tata Nano “Twist” was the major change to the world’s cheapest car after its launch, but another leap to it is expected to arrive soon as the sales results is showing no remorse for the changes made and investment pumped. Going with the “Active”, Nano will show up with tail gate opening and a mild facelift with an automatic (AMT) gearbox for urban buyers. However, the cosmetic makeover will sure-footedly make the model expensive than before. But to be precise about it, likewise to the tag of world’s cheapest car the automatic will also be the world’s cheapest automatic available. And, the possibility of a diesel version is ruled out for present. So, this model may have to wait for some more years to deliver the max from single litre of fuel. With an expected price of Rs 2.5 lakh Nano Active don’t derive an exact rival but Maruti Alto 800 pose to be the nearest.

Tata Nano Twist Active

Tata Kite

Tata’s another effort in the league to patch up those rugs of bad past is strewn with numerous mass selling products designed to also cater the lifestyle buyers (but for a very acute chance). Another one in the list after new Nano is “Kite”, which will lock horns with the likes of Maruti Alto 800 and Hyundai Eon. There is also an extension for it to rage against the Chevrolet Beat, Hyundai i10 and Celerio if planted rightly in the band. Likewise to the other Tata cars, this one wouldn’t be an exception in offering acres of spaces inside the cabin. The good news here is that 1.4-litre diesel and 1.2-litre petrol will make way under the hoods. The speculated price for being tied around its neck will be in the range of Rs 4 and 5 lakh.

Tata Kite

Tata Bolt

Just don’t be fed up, this is the last Tata car in the list. A premium over the rest, to be pitted against the likes of Honda Jazz, Maruti Swift, Hyundai i20 Elite and more, it was previewed at Delhi Auto Expo 2014 and would be based on the similar designing language of the sub-4 metre sedan Tata Zest. The 1.3-litre diesel and 1.2-litre petrol to be on the list, and that AMT gearbox too will make the way here. Pricing expected to be in the vicinity of Rs 5.5 lakh and above.

Tata Bolt

New Ford Figo

Ford’s most promising and appealing car after EcoSport is the new Figo, meant to fetch number of footfalls to the showrooms. This model is reported similar to the one that was launched in Brazil named as Ford Ka. Over this new hatchback, the Blue Oval Logoed carmaker seemed planning a more upmarket image with level and numbers of equipments going to be provided for the expected cost of Rs 4.5 lakh and above. Sync infotainment system is one such example to name for now. The drivetrain of 1.5-litre diesel and 1.2-litre petrol both shall be present in the market.

New Ford Figo

Honda Jazz

Honda’s offering Jazz is the only one left in market, after Ford Figo, for the makeover. But not too late to the party, new Jazz launch during the 2015 will make better provision for Japanese automaker of foraying deeper in the veins of this country. On-board the 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel and 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol both, automaker is confident to count endless number of sales which since it is been missing due to the lack of diesel engines. Likewise to other Honda models this one too will make a pricier statement against the likes of Volkswagen Polo GT, Hyundai i20 Elite and many more.

Honda Jazz

Fiat Punto EVO Abarth

Fiat’s new hatchback called as Punto Evo is speculated to go under the knife of performance department called ‘Abarth’; means if happened it will be the only hatchback in the segment that would be most powerful throughout the country rolled-out from the specialists – company’s official performance department. The Volkswagen Polo GT will be dethroned and even the Ford EcoSport with EcoBoost will get a good blow since bound to be thwarted in the estimated price band of Rs 9.5 lakh. And to make that possible, the 1.4-litre T-Jet petrol engine from Linea is lined to do the job of raking an immense 140bhp.

Fiat Punto EVO Abarth

Maruti Celerio Diesel

Celerio of Maruti has garnered enough response for automaker to take an affirm decision of bringing a diesel version to it. The AMT gearbox which released a fresh trend amongst the carmaker at the time of launch was expected to see the same transmission in the diesel too, but sadly there aren’t such concrete reports doing rounds of the wire to claim that. The fresh lease of technicalities with this car is going to be its engine which will be manufactured by Maruti itself measuring 800cc with two-cylinder. However, the equation doesn’t look to be so powerful, but it would be affordable and efficient – after all it will be the first car to see the small diesel engine of Maruti.

New Volkswagen Beetle

New Beetle has made us waited quite long. Looking to the inputs from buyers and its life spent in the country, Volkswagen must be in the urge to roll-in a new Beetle from the sleeves. Evident from the lifestyle buyers taste, despite being too expensive (approx Rs 28 lakh), it still holds the year long waiting period and the reason for it being pricier is VW import it as a completely built unit so a heavy downpour of duties and taxes are obvious. This time, the changes are expected to be done majorly on the nose, and cabin to held just minute nip and tucks. Against the line to 1.4-litre turbo petrol and 2.0-litre turbo petrol engines there aren’t options of diesel mentioned. Mini Cooper and Fiat 500 Abarth found to be its nearest rivals.

Fiat 500 Abarth

Fiat 500 made way to India years back but  failed to make a stand against the Volkswagen Beetle and MINI Cooper due to the lack of popularity. Earlier, it was only 1.3-litre diesel engine going the duty for it here. Now, the game is going to change as this Italian carmaker has planned to launch the 165bhp version being pumped out by a 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine. Hopefully, it will only make way to the platters of niche audience. The pricing, approximately Rs 25 lakh, if done rightly will bring fortunes from the repertoire and would also set the game for its performance-brand Abarth in India.

Datsun Redi-GO

Nissan ailing dreams of reaching the masses without harnessing its own image is fulfilled with the Datsun GO. The next step to it will be the MPV GO+ which will then be followed by Redi-GO hatchback honed with crossover-type looks and the stylish cosmetic gimmicks. The concept Redi-GO unveiled at Delhi Auto Expo 2014 was eye-appealing as well as generous on space. And if that is to go by for the production version, which looks possible, then the final product will be a stylish name in the category of under Rs 4 lakh. Power to it will come from a 800cc petrol engine and all new platform where both will be shared by the Renault due to an alliance between both of them. Hyundai Santro is the exact car to look for drawing the rivalry at, and Maruti Alto 800 too don’t fall out of the context yet.

New Renault Small Car

Renault’s upcoming offering will be similar to that of the Nissan and would be based on that affordable Common Module Family (CMF) platform (of Renault), called as CMF-A. The twist in this story is Renault will be the first to bring it to the market as decided in the papers of alliance. There shall not be disappointment as the duos always thrived to bring up a different model to the plate even after sharing the same platform, for e.g. Micra-Pulse, Sunny-Scala or Duster-Terrano. Hence, its prices are expected to be near to Rs 3 lakh and it shall rival likes of Hyundai Eon as well Maruti Alto 800, with the same aforesaid 800cc petrol engine under the hoods.
