Honda Witnessed a Low of 26% in February 2013

Honda Cars India Ltd. witnessed a low of 26.49% in February 2013.
However, Honda managed to roll out 6,510 vehicles in the local market as compared to 8,856 vehicles in last year’s February.
In addition to this, 510 units are exported to other markets.

Honda to Open a New Plant In Japan for Supporting Weak Yen

Japan has been a left-out option on Honda’s list but nowadays it looks that this Japanese carmaker is getting very close with its homeland.
Japan has a big potential in itself but due to the lack of attention from global political lobby and other social aspects, it got shaded away, not exactly but to a limited extent.
However, as of now Honda is claiming to open a production facility in its very own homeland, maybe due to the weakening Yen condition against USD. Building vehicles there for export will prove beneficiary for gaining Yen’s lost grounds in fluctuating derivations. Honda Brio to have a new high-end trim?

Reports on the net suggests that Honda’s most popular Brio hatchback will soon have a new top-end VX Brio trim. So far the Brio has been quite well-received by Indian car lovers. But even then the car misses out on some very important features. For instance, the new high-end version of the Brio will have seat adjustment for the driver and most probably, a rear-end defogger.
Honda will be looking to increase the sales of the Honda Brio in India with the introduction of the VX trim level. Currently, the company sales around 200 units of this hatch per month in the country.

Honda to Power its Plant with Wind Energy

Everybody is going a different way, which suited them best for saving our environment. Recently we got to know about the hydrogen fuel cell technology, now this Japanese carmaker plans to introduce wind energy at its Ohio plant.
It is going to be the first major Honda automobile plant in US which will be dependent exponentially on the wind power. Two wind turbines measuring 260 ft in height will be install inside the facility premises which can generate 10,000-megawatt hours per year, approximately the 10% of total annual consumption.
Seeing to Honda, Ford and General Motors also announced the adoption of eco friendly solar system for their manufacturing camp.
