Honda Cars India Limited (HCIL) has finally started its most awaited plant in India and also rolled out the first vehicle from its production line. The new plant is located at Tapukara Dist. Alwar, Rajasthan, and the first car to be rolled out from the line was Amaze. Honda has inaugurated the plant amidst the hude fanfare and has invited Ms. Vasundhara Raje, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Government of Rajasthan and Mr. Yasuhisa Kawamura, Minister & Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of Japan in India, for the ribbon cutting ceremony of the factory. The Mobilio MPV that has been launched at the Auto Expo 2014 will further widen the portfolio of Honda. The car is said to be based on the Brio platform, which will now have a suitable length wheelbase and also free space in order to add the third row of seats. The headlights of the car make its connection with the Brio quite evident. The Honda designers have done well with the wraparound rear screen and floating D-pillar. Honda Amaze SX Variant Launched at Rs. 6.22 lakh ex-showroom Delhi
Honda sold 52,000 Amaze since launch, as what we have reported recently. Confronting one more variant to the boosting sales of Amaze, Honda launched SX variant of it, which sits above the Amaze S trim and below the top-end VX trim. It is rolled-out in petrol as well as diesel version, and is priced at Rs 6.22 lakh for the former and Rs. 7.12 lakh (ex-Delhi) for the latter.
