The bookings for the facelifted Range Rover Evoque SUV have been opened by Jaguar Land Rover in India with the car being all set to be launched next month.

Powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine that delivers 187 bhp of power, the Evoque comes mated to a nine speed automatic transmission and this will see no update in the upcoming edition.

What will change though is the looks, with a new front bumper, new grill, a new alloy wheel design as well as enlarged air intakes. The rear end too will now have a new tailgate spoiler as well as LED adaptive headlamps and an LED stoplight. The car will also have new door casings, new seats and will be available in multiple colour options.

In terms of additional features, the Evoque will have the new 8.0 inch infotainment system from Land Rover as well as a new TFT display on the instrument panel. The car will also have All-Terrain Progress Control (ATPC), which is a brand new addition and has been seen first on the Range Rover. Off roading too will be a treat with the car as it has tons of additional safety features which include emergency braking, lane keeping assist as well as a warning for drowsy drivers.

The car is assembled locally and is priced starting Rs.49.2 lakh. It is targeting the high end SUV segment here in India and will look to catch the attention of adventure lovers across the country.

Range Rover LWB Autobiography Black Edition Launched For Rs 3.75 Crore

The rugged gets expensive. Range Rover, the emblem of off-road, is now launched in the most luxurious form across India for an expensive price tag of Rs 3.75 crore (diesel). The petrol version falls at Rs 3.85 crore, where all the aforementioned prices are ex-showroom Delhi.

Dubbed as Autobiography Black edition, Range Rover with these most desirable trims on board is based on the long-wheelbase version. The first glimpse caught by the world was at Los Angeles Auto Show in 2013.

As falling for this very niche price tag, Autobiography Black edition means serious business of luxury inside the cabin, but it doesn’t means outer shell is deprived of unique matters. The distinct finish on front grille, 21 or 22 inch alloy wheels of aluminium and gloss finish, chrome strip on tail gate and redesigned tail lamps are there to name.

Talking the actual business, cabin of Autobiography Black Range Rover is draped in leather on every detail. It is the front passenger who enjoys massage function, where the driver can experience special treatment in its seat by means of 18-way adjustment. Rear passengers now can lie in the lap of luxury far better than the standard Range Rover due to extended wheelbase. Lumber massage function, calf rest and more reclining angle than before add worth to it.

Buyers can choose between a 4.4-litre SDV8 diesel engine of 335bhp and 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol of 503bhp. Both machines come along with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

Hence, Range Rover Autobiography Black Edition is the most expensive SUV available in India.

Range Rover Evoque Copy Receives Green Flag For Production In China

The time where numerous amount of money is spent on design and the development of a new product and more of them are splurged to sell them and develop a market for such fresh traits, it sounds very distracting to hear the imitation of Range Rover Evoque got a green flag to enter the production in China. The product called LandWind X7 was unveiled at Guangzhou Motor Show last year, and now it even witnessed the Shanghai Motor show. This time, the vehicle receives acceptance from the authorities to go into the production, claimed a source.

As per the reports, LandWind X7 bears a price tag of £14,000, where in comparison the Range Rover Evoque retails for £40,000. However, this vast difference between both of them will ravel hampering of quality as well as power. To our expectations, the LandWind SUV will remain as a good option from traveling from point A to B, rather than experiencing the thrill of a Range Rover behind its steering wheel. Yet, the maker has tried to push hard the limits and bring the new vehicle with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine sending 190.6PS of max power and 250Nm of peak torque. Transmission options available are 6-speed manual and an 8-speed automatic.

To answer In brief what the LandWind is about, it is a joint venture between Changan Auto and Jiangling Motors Corporation, who are listed as some of the most renowned companies in China. Commenting on this strategic disturbance, Dr. Ralf Speth, CEO of JLR said, as an organization JLR invested hugely in the Chinese market in joint venture with the Chery. The commitment is laid out on a clear business plan which allows the organization to hit the sales targets on clear prices. If anything that comes into way and damages the potential profitability of the manufacturing facility, it will also damage the integrity of the said plans.

Thus, the worries may surround other carmakers as well. After all, such a move in the land of China will strengthen the efforts of copy and fakes business house holders to further clone more successful models of the auto world.

A New Range Rover Positioned Between Evoque And Sport Coming Soon?

Apparently, New York Motor show has sliced more oncoming truth of the automotive industry than the Geneva Motor show. Another from the haystack of such inclinations, a media house from Australia was found saying, Range Rover is in the process of developing a SUV positioned between Evoque and Sport. The gap between these two is quite wide, and a new product will comfortably sit there without a hick.

As per the report, Evoque may share its platform in the modified format with this newbie. This new SUV will aim buyers who wish to go for a vehicle larger than the Evoque but not as big as Sport, with five seats.

A New Range Rover Positioned Between Evoque And Sport Coming Soon?
Gerry McGovern, Director of Design, Land Rover, said, there are several white space in lineup which can turn out good opportunities if hit them rightly. Chances are most likely for this model to debut on the sales floor in international markets during 2018, whereby the concept will shed its cover at the earliest in these coming years.

Went specifying further Mr. McGovern also confirmed there is something special stored for the Frankfurt Motor Show from Land Rover this year in September. Apparently, it could be the Range Rover Evoque Cabriolet ready for the production trim.

Range Rover Evoque Convertible Spied

Specifically, a SUV is meant for the boys, but since Range Rover wants to give a smile to the girls as well, they have shown interest in bringing the Evoque with convertible roof-top too. To believe our eyes, the company has started testing the soft-top version of this compact SUV ahead of the Geneva Motor Show. Based on the three-door version, the vehicle will share the stage with a facelift model at the stage.

Hence, despite being employed with the electronically operational roof-top, it doesn’t seem so, because the perfect designing work mimics it to appear identical to the hardtop.

However, there are chances of the Evoque cabriolet to borrow engine options from XE, whereas the sources said: soft-top to be reaching the dealerships of international markets by mid of this year, obviously for a notched price tag.

Lamborghini Huracan

Lamborghini’s new baby car for India after the end of Gallardo, Huracan, was made to foray for a price of Rs 3.43 crore (ex-showroom Delhi). Though, this baby Bull of Italy ventured into the tradition of using a bombastic V10 engine for producing matured amount of 602bhp, with the electronically capped top-speed of 325kmph and 0-100kmph in 3.2 seconds. However, the cabin too is enough for housing only two at a time, both can travel in ultimate speed with the expertise of jet plane on steering, as well as at the passenger’s seat. For India, Lamborghini had added a special function of lifting up the nose by 40mm over the standard ground clearance for road conditions of this country.

Range Rover Long Wheelbase And Autobiography Edition

Range Rover which was already long enough to fit a King in its rear, now gets longer with more 186mm of wheelbase, where out of the whole 140mm is added for the rear seat only. The long-wheelbase edition can be easily identified from the size of rear doors where they comparatively appear bigger than before. So, those wishing to end their drive in the lap of luxury and also admit their vehicle shall be rugged and must take on the every terrain, surely this is the right option to choose from. Even getting more exclusive, buyers are given to choose from a bench and executive seats for the rear passenger. Large panoramic sunroof and 17-degree reclining seat at rear are standard on all the variants. Former set of buyers (of petrol) can get the supercharged 5.0-litre V8 petrol of 510PS and 625Nm of torque. The 4.4-litre V8 diesel will send power of 339PS grunting over the 700Nm of torque. Jaguar F-Type Coupe

The success of Jaguar F-Type speaks about itself. Thoughtfully, the company has played smartly with this model, as launched the convertible first and then brought the hardtop called as F-Type Coupe later. Launched for the price of Rs 1.21 crore, it goes upto the max level of Rs 1.82 crore ex-showroom Mumbai. We loved this car just because of its Wild Cat-ish looks. But for the adrenaline lovers, British automaker had lent it number of options which sound like a music to the ears. Power of 340PS is just the standard for this coupe from a supercharged 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine, whereas the slightly more powerful version called F-Type S delivers 40PS more than the said, and the result is 380PS. The top of line uses a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 for the staggering 550PS and 680Nm of torque. Wholly, the range topping also differs on the equipment level with 20-inch wheels as against the 18-inch of the said two. Aston Martin Rapide S

Though, this launch happened in the last week of 2013, but this car turned towards 2014 for getting delivered into the hands of buyers. A family sports sedan with 4-passenger seating capacity, this turns out to be monstrous when led unchained on the open racetrack. The model already exists in the country back from 2011, but the addition of ‘S’ to the badge makes it worthy for a price of Rs 4.4 crore ex-showroom Mumbai. Now it enjoys a healthy power output of 550bhp (from 470bhp) and 619Nm of torque (against the 600Nm) with the traction being sent by a 6-speed AZ automatic transmission. One couldn’t deny its opulence of being a proper four-seater with the right balance of luxury and healthy sports characteristics. Wished, it could be in everyone’s wish list if desiring to shell out the tag of something more than Rs 4 crore.

Upcoming Jaguar Land Rover Cars In India During 2015

Despite being British, Jaguar Land Rover still has to send down every feasible model to India. After all, the benefits of an acquirer Tata Motors being an Indian cannot be snatched away from this market. Strategically, another tangent is also related to it, that’s the market size of India, which is ever growing, where various segments have emerged in the recent times due a youthful audience base.

Mentioned here are the models of Jaguar Land Rover coming to India in 2015.

Land Rover Discovery Sport

The mid-size SUV and an entry-level vehicle at the floor of Range Rover, the Freelander 2, is now going to be replaced by a more useful model called Discovery Sport. The SUV sports a 5+2 seating layout which makes it more adorable for India. Pricing is expected to be in the vicinity of more than Rs 43 lakh. Undoubted, the automaker will provide the option of petrol and diesel both, with 6-and 9-speed automatic gearboxes. The carmaker had already conducted its test drive session for selected media personnel. Now, the launch is awaited.

Upcoming Jaguar Land Rover Cars In India During 2015

Jaguar XE

The most promising Jaguar for India could be the XE. An entry-level model for the maker sure-footedly holds a large sum of expectations, but that doesn’t mean the British will involve neck deep in the cut-throat pricing strategies. As per to a source, Jaguar is claimed of pricing XE as a premium car with goodies loaded, and also the price tag being be slightly notched than the rest of rivals. We speculate the new Ingenium engine family representatives ranging from 2.0-litre to 3.0-litre, and obviously a supercharged V6 of 335bhp shall make its way here. Petrol and diesel both the guises will be given choices of 6-speed manual and 8-speed automatic gearboxes to choose from.

Range Rover Sport SVR

This is the most powerful SUV could be ever made. For such a title, Range Rover Sport SVR emits 542 horsepower from a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine. An 8-speed ZF automatic transmission will take care of the transmission being sent to all-four-wheels.

Jaguar F-Type AWD

Jaguar’s aspirations with the F-Type cannot be explained in words. It is a product that defines Jaguar, irrespective of price tags and its sales figures. After the warming initial response, Jaguar decided to take the F-Type to a new level. This year, after the F-Type coupe launched in India, this two-seater sports car will dwell an AWD drivetrain for an aggressive experience. The aforementioned 5.0-litre supercharged V8 worth of 542hp will be uses here as well with the traction being sent to all-four wheels, drafting it to clock the 0-100km/h in 3.9 seconds and hitting a top-speed of no lesser than 300km/h. Doesn’t it sounds exciting even on paper?

New Range Rover India Made Evoque

The compact SUV of Range Rover lineup, Evoque, too had become old fashioned in the Indian market, but the fact is its price tag that turns the model down against rivals. Earned huge custom duties for being imported as CBU (completely built units) made it to go overpriced than the competitors. For the same, Tata Motors, acquirer of JLR brand, is reported to produce the Evoque locally at Pune manufacturing facility. Plans of a locally produced nine-speed automatic ZF gearbox is also rumoured in the market. Hence, the next-generation model which was displayed at Delhi Auto Expo 2014 will be the one to go into production in India. The present-face will be axed. And it the price after that is expected to be escaped in the slot lesser than Rs 50 lakh, where certain expectation for future mimic it to go for an Executive Edition in a toned down avatar – ripped off from goodies and features – like the XF had received last year, for a wider segmentation and better market accessibility.
