Toyota to Launch More Small Cars and Compact SUVs in India

Claimed the title of No.1 carmaker in world, Toyota is still keen about India, and is thinking to bring in more small cars and compact SUV here. Due to some of the drawbacks it is sitting idle, and as said, the lack of “clear cut” derivations in Indian government’s policy regarding import tariff, fuel policy etc. had tied their hands in the position which they are. “If you look at our portfolio in India, we have just one small car, Liva. We need more if we have to have big volumes in a fast growing market like India,” said Satoshi Ohiso, Toyota Motor Corporation Managing Officer.

New generation Toyota Corolla is all set to make debut on 6th June 2013, as confirmed by the official Facebook page of carmaker, which also tend the viewers to be excited for the launch. Toyota showcases new Vios at Shanghai auto show

Toyota showcased its all new Vios at Shanghai Motor Show which is meant for the global markets. The vehicle is also known as Yaris in other markets. The car was also displayed at the recently held Bangkok motor show.
It is the saloon that lies just below the Corolla line up in the most of the countries. Toyota Studying More Possibility of Prius for Indian Shores

When the whole world is going hybrid then why India should be left behind from that heated trend, so to make the things better here Toyota is studying hybrid-possibility for our local market.
To an extent, the well renowned Prius hybrid exists on our Indian shores, and is being a due for an increment to the existing range of automaker’s specified range, who now had vowed “more” lined-up for this particular segment of global market, which can be termed as a plan to sell 1 million newly launched hybrid models till 2015.
As learnt, Toyota had 18 hybrid models in the pipeline meant to be rolled out till 2015, out of which 5 are the re-modeled version of present makes.
