Volkswagen Polo facelift is the latest one that is raising eyebrows with the famous VW badge, but the automaker also found another reason to celebrate the moment. The Volkswagen plant of Pune is reported to have rolled-out over four lakh cars in a span of just over five years. This implicate that German engineering is in great demand by Indians. The production at VW Pune facility was started in March 2009 and since then four lakh cars produced that there were sold in the domestic markets and as well as exported in more than 32 markets across the globe. Volkswagen Polo facelift is launched in India for Rs 4.99 lakh. With this new vehicle the automaker had also brought the all-new 1.5-litre diesel engine to the country. Confirming changes, the new 2014 Polo is done with modifications on front which are subtle and at the same time sophisticated. The front grille gets a single slat instead of three, the air dam receives a flash of chrome but misses out the daytime running LEDs that were found on European-specific model. Bonnie Thomas won the second race of the weekend thereby registering his second victory of the season. Starting second on the grid, he gained first position at the first corner and dominated the race till the end. Bonnie was followed by Karminder Pal Singh and Yatin Magu at second and third positions respectively. With rains hitting the circuit half an hour before the race, drivers were forced to go with wet tyres.
