Volvo starts production of new engine series

Volvo has started the production of an all new family of four cylinder engine. The development and the production of the engine will take place at Volvo Car Group’s engine plant situated in Skovde. The company also claims that this engine will be playing a vital role in the independence of the company.
Volvo is concentrating on taking full control of the development and production of the engines and the drivetrains to increase the flexibility and with the ability to manufacture its own specialized engines company will now be enhancing its ability to influence quality.

Volvo announces its new Brand Ambassador

Volvo India today announced that golfer Jeev Milkha Singh will now be its Brand ambassador in India.
The Golfer will be getting a brand new XC90 as a part of this association with Volvo. Speaking on the same, he said that he feels so excited to be a part of the Volvo family and feels proud to represent Volvo cars as its new Brand Ambassador. On the occasion, Managing Director of Volvo Auto India, Tomas Ernberg said that company will soon be opening their dealerships across the country with new one recently coming up at Ahmedabad and Bangalore in few months. Gurgaon is also on the priority list of the company and will soon be receiving its own Volvo dealership followed by Kolkata.
