The name Porsche has always been related to the style and luxury. I mean they have always been famous for their luxurious and stylish cars all over the world. Even in India, Porsche is one of the most desired brands. It has always been a status symbol. "If you own a Porsche, then you've got to be someone rich or famous" this is the general idea behind Porsche. Since its inception, they have been very clear about what they want and what the customers want out of them. This strategy has always been fruitful for the company, if we are talking about Porsche globally. The same vision is carried on by the current director Ashish Chordia, as he seems to have many plans relating to the expansion of the business in India. Porsche India is planning to build an exclusive state of the art retail facility in Delhi which will feature almost all the models of Porsche including the recent launches as well. Porsche India is also planning to expand it's horizons across India, by building showrooms in Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Ahmedabad and Chandigarh. Porsche India has not been able to gel well with the Indian market scenario and hence has met with only a relatively average success. That may be because of the price at which their cars are been offered. They recently launched the Porsche Cayenne which is called the high flying SUV. This car was expected to boost their business but it didn't make much of a difference to it. But with high hopes, the company is still keeping its fingers crossed with few new launches following few years from now. Currently in India there are many models available namely Porsche Panamera, Porsche Cayman, Porsche Boxster, Porsche Cayenne, Porsche 911 Carrera, Porsche Carrera Cabriolet, Porsche Carrera 4, Porsche Turbo and Porsche 911 GT3.
