After the partition of India, Malik Ghulam Mohammed, one of the two core founder of the company Mahindra and Mohammed in Ludhiana, shifted to Pakistan, which ultimately gave birth to the new personality and new name of the company. The responsibility of Mahindra and Mahindra Limited as it was now called was in the hands of two brothers K C Mahindra and J C Mahindra. Basically at that time, this company used to manufacture army vehicles as well as the tractors for the Indian market. But by now the company has grown so well that it acquires its share in almost every part of the world. The company now has a manufacturing plant each in United Kingdom and China, and also the company has an assembly plant in the USA. The reason behind this growth of this company is their vision to succeed. This company now has a partnership deal with various famous companies all across the world like International Truck and Engine Corporation of USA and Renault SA of France. It's been almost 60 years since the company actually started its operation, but the company marked its entry under the passenger car segment in the year 2007, and for this purpose Mahindra and Mahindra Limited signed a deal with the Ford India Private Limited. Recently a USA based reputation institute which generally offers the various ranks to the various companies, ranked Mahindra and Mahindra Limited amongst the top 10 automobile manufacturing companies. By now the company has produced various passenger cars namely, Mahindra Bolero, Mahindra Scorpio, Mahindra Xylo, Mahindra Renault Logan, and Mahindra Axe. In the year 2011, Mahindra and Mahindra is planning to launch four new cars in the Indian market namely Mahindra Renault Laguna by May, Mahindra Renault Koleos by June, Mahindra Renault Fluence by July and the much awaited Mahindra Renault Sandero by December 2011.
