Honda Amaze to hit the Indian market on April 16th







The highly anticipated Honda Amaze saloon is all set to hit the showrooms on April 16th, according to some sources. Honda will be revealing its new 1.5 litre diesel saloon designed especially for Indian customers on this day. The Amaze is based on the Brio hatchback and will also be available in the 1.2 litre petrol version. The new engine is quite refined and more responsive.

Despite being based on the Brio hatchback, the saloon has hired some subtle styling changes like new grille, alloy wheels and fog lamps. The Amaze is quite longer than the hatchback and has plenty of space to offer.

Honda has already started the booking for its much awaited saloon. Interested buyers can now book the car at any of the authorized dealerships of Honda by just paying an amount of Rs. 10,000.

Honda Amaze Launch on April 16
Honda Amaze will be the first offering from the Japanese automaker in the Indian market that will come pre-equipped with a diesel engine. The Amaze will be powered by a 1.5 litre i-DTEC diesel engine and another 1.2 litre petrol version. With the new vehicle, Honda will be trying to regain its lost position and ground in the Indian auto market. It is also said that the upcoming model will be cheapest saloon offering from the Honda in the Indian market for now.

Model is expected to hire a number of safety and comfort features that will be adding convenience and security to the commuters at an affordable price. The saloon is said to be supporting a number of premium safety features like dual air bags, ABS (anti-lock braking system) along with the EBD (Electronic Brake-Force Distribution). It will also features adjustable driver seats, sporty alloys, defogger at the rear, ORVM equipped turn indicator and arm rest for the rear seats. Equipped with these exciting specs, the vehicle will surely give a tough competition to the current segment leader.

Interestingly, the upcoming saloon is based on the Brio platform from the Brio hatchback that currently is on sale in Indian market, which had already made its presence among the Indian customers. It is believed that the Amaze saloon will be in direct competition with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Tata Indigo eCS and Toyota Etios.
