Hyundai is distinguished for equipping its vehicles with high technology traits for its valuable clients. And fulfilling that criterion, the auto giant is out with its most up-to-date piece of technology. In a tie up with Broadcom, the well known car maker is ready to integrate the most modern characteristics such as surround view parking and lane departure caution in its next generation vehicles.
The company will also fit in Broadcom’s proprietary BroadR-Reach Ethernet Technology with the intention to remove the requirement for cabling in a car. The system, which offers up a high bandwidth in-vehicle network of 100 megabits per second, will take out the necessity for wiring in a vehicle thereby cutting down cost as well as weight.
Hyundai head of infotainment design Mr. Sunjai Lee stated, “The in-vehicle Ethernet network will permit major traits comprising infotainment, lane departure caution, park help and telematics to offer up greater value to our clients.”
Mr. Lee added that they preferred to ink deal with Broadcom as they deliver advanced Ethernet-based innovation to augment the driver as well as traveler experience.
Broadcom said that the affiliation will incorporate infotainment, telematics and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) traits including surround view parking and lane departure caution into Hyundai cars.
Car manufacturers require in-car connectivity, which can handle additional data-heavy apps in a money-spinning approach. Broadcom’s BroadR-Reach technology can run more than single unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cabling that is less costly and weighs below shielded cable.
