Hyundai HCD8 concept: At a glance

The South-Korea based conglomerate Hyundai concept supercar called Hyundai HCD8, which efficiently speaks for Hyundai’s ability to fabricate classic looking cars with the performance of a sports machine.

Designed by Hyundai Irvine, California-based new Design and Technical Centre, the HCD8 boast the looks of a classic sports car on the exterior, while its interiors parades two-tone Vapor Grey leather seating surfaces, wood flooring, attractive steering wheel rim and shift lever knob  accented by wood and aluminum. Known for producing ‘fluidic’ design cars, the Hyundai California Design Center has so far produced a number of outstanding concept vehicles, and the HCD8 is one of them.

The concept supercar is based on the South Korean manufacturer’s coupe models, but the manufacturer’s Design and Technical Centre has made some design and technical changes to make it unique.

Under the hood, the HCD8 has a 2.7-litre V-6 configuration engine. The length of the car is 4,314mm, while the wheelbase has been measured at 2,629mm. In height and width, the concept car is 1,298mm and 1,760mm respectively. It features new 18-inch wheels with 225/40 x 18 Michelin tyres that delivers a lighter and more sportive outlook to the vehicle.

However, Hyundai has so far made no comment on as to when the HCD8 concept would be put into production.
