Started in 2009, Mumbai International Motor Show is now an international event as we received Hannu Mikola, the famous rally driver, as flag waiver of the show. It is not just the display of cars and bikes but it binds all the happenings of auto fraternity.
Carmakers like Rolls Royce, Audi, Volvo, Honda, Skoda, Maruti Suzuki, Toyota, Mahindra Auto, Renault, Nissan, Premier, Hyundai, General Motors, Ford, Hyosung, Bajaj Auto, Yamaha, Hyosung, BMW bikes and cars, Mahindra 2 wheeleers and many more were present at the red carpet. There were also some famous customizers who had portrayed their creations along with accessories. Vintage cars also made their way into the same convoy to raise glamour quotient.
Event started with the ribbon cutting ceremony by Hannu Mikkola and John Abraham escorted by Adil Darukhanvala – the editor in chief for Zigwheels editorials. John took all the media hype with himself to the stand of Yamaha where he showered some light on VMAX. It was then all followed by a press release in which the famous Bollywood actor expressed his wish to participate in some of the leading rallies and other famous automobile events. He himself is also an auto fanatic with some one of its kind creation parked in the garage.
Adding to the thrill, Ghost Ryderz also displayed their jaw dropping stunts on Pulsar 200 NS which is for the first time in India that stunt bikers are officially sponsored by a sports bike brand. This will help to throw the focus on stunt biking as a core profession.
Last but not the least, this event will divulge all its charm through the chilling four days i.e. 24th – 27th of January 2013 at MMRDA grounds, BKC. It is one of the big events within local boundaries which will see all honchos of auto fraternity, and this time Ghost Ryderz is going to entertain with different sets of stunts for everyday slot.
Just to add as an important note, Hannu Mikkola is doing rallies from 1963 to the next three decades. He had won 18 World Rally Championship (WRC) title and 1000 Lakes Rally by seven times along with Safari Rally with the same figure of 7. Audi Quattro had provided him with the fame that he was waiting for in his life. He can also be seen in the WRC Hall of Fame from as inducted in 2011.
