Mahindra SUVs were doing well when the automaker thought to start a new segment out of it, and just then the Quanto emerged with a new identity as ‘compact SUV’. Thus it can be said that, this Compact had opened doors for many them over here, and is soon going to do the same in South Africa as well.
Yes, Mahindra had planned to launch Quanto in South Africa because, both India and SA shares similar type of tastes, just like their love for cricket.
However, the carmaker is also selling Scorpio, Xylo, Genio, XUV 500 and Scorpio pick-up truck there itself.
No changes will be made on any of the components, while the same India-specific version of 1.5 liter twin-turbo diesel with 5-speed manual gearbox will be launched in South Africa. Quanto yields a magnificent output of 100 bhp and 240 Nm of torque, henceforth, people there will definitely love it for its boasting algorithms, inclusive of spacious interiors.
It can be concluded that, Quanto had really offered us a new sort of seating arrangement being enabled to engulf five adults and two kids at a time, comfortably seated even on the last row jump seats, which can be converted into boot space when not needed.
