Maruti is one of the car manufacturers that have always aimed to render the best service to the rural markets of the country. Out of the total sales of the company, thirty percent of the sales come from the rural areas. Maruti is planning to achieve this goal by March 2014.

The chairman of the company has also pointed out that last year the company had reached out to over 44.000 villages and this year over 60,000 villages have been covered. Out of the 700 outlets that the company has in rural areas, almost all comprise of a service centre as well that can repair cars up to a certain extent, and especially the cars that are under warranty.
