Jeep is in the flip to hide its upcoming vehicles as much as possible, but the spies in industry don’t leave a chance to escape any of its test-mules. Hence, latest on board this morning we found that Jeep’s compact SUV which was reported to be in the making has taken a shape and is doing test rounds on roads of Italy, in fact getting ready for the debut at 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
Peeping into the spy-shots it is revealed the seven slat signature front grille of Jeep will be delving on it at the forefront. Other detailing noted are shorter wheelbase, cramped entry-exit, squared tail lamps and leather draped three-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls.
It is speculated that Jeep’s entry level SUV will ride the platform of 500X and 500L underneath combined with number of engine options for catering the most of markets. Hence, only speculations are there on the board of TwinAir Turbo, MultiAir Turbo and MultiJet II to be occupying its bay. It can be possible that Porsche Macan may have spruced the Jeep to pump its workforce for delivering this mini SUV as soon as possible. Meanwhile, the overall boxy design of Jeep gives it an image of true-blue off-roader. Hence, it will be interesting to see what this off-road metal will handle when it would be thrown in the dirt. Till the 2014 Geneva, what all of us can do is wait and watch the clock ticking.
