The readers of “OFF ROAD” trade magazine voted the Porsche Cayenne, the ‘Off-Road vehicle of the year‘, in the “Luxury SUV” category. The Cayenne attracted over 20 percent of votes, winning the award by a clear margin from eleven manufacturers in this category alone.
On Friday, 10 Feb, Dr. Ing. h.c F. Porsche AG received the “Off-Road Award 2012″, in a prize ceremony in Munich. This clearly shows the domination of this SUV over the rest. The 100,000th Cayenne of present generation was made in Leipzig nearly a month ago. The monthly trade magazine’s reader poll has been held since 1982. This year, there were 143 vehicles from 40 manufacturers in 12 different categories in the running and more than 57,000 readers participated in the poll.
