Over the past few years India has grown into a hub spot for automobile bigwigs as now every month a new car makes its way to India. The SUV market in India has been said to be booming ever since cars like Honda CR-V, Tata Safari, Ford Endeavour came into place. Tata with its launch of Safari created waves in the SUV market as this car was something which caught eyeballs easily due to its tough looks and powerful performance. Over the period of time many other competitors came and took Safari head on. So now the competition in the Indian SUV market has become fierce with Tata and Mahindra competing against each other.

But now we have a new car which has entered the market as a fresher. Force Motors which is a new automobile group has come up with its first launch in India. The car named as Force-One has managed to create quite a buzz in a very short span of time with Amitabh Bachchan as its brand ambassador. Here we will ascertain as to whether Force One is better than Tata Safari Storme which is about to make its entry in the Indian market.
Though the design of the car has been something which people have been seeing on the roads since a long time, Force-One still looks good in comparison to some of its counterparts. The chrome grille fitted to the front of the car gives it quite a massive look and adding to that, the makers of the car have fitted large-sized fog lamps in the front of the car to give it a powerfully built and burly appeal. Apparently the critics aren’t too satisfied with the fact that the designers of the car have spaced the distance between the two wheels more than sufficient. So on the whole the looks of the car have not scored much unfortunately. But for a beginner in the SUV market, this car can go a long way.
Tata Safari Storme
The makers of Tata Safari Storme have given a new outlook to the new Tata Safari Storme. The design of the car has been inspired by the Land Rover Discovery and thus scores a lot more than Force-One over looks. The tail-lamps, headlights and the fog lights have been revamped to a great extent. The front grille has been made into a muscular one and the front as well as rear bumpers are now bulkier to give the car a monstrous appeal altogether. The headlamps of the car will be featuring clear leans and peeled-back projection. The turn indicators have also been changed with a more integrated design. Tata has this time given much bigger alloy wheels to the new Tata Safari Storme.
If one has to judge both the cars on the basis of their interior space in the cabin, then Force One is bound to score more as it can easily accommodate 8 passengers in the car comfortably and gives ample leg space for all. But even if it pushes all the other SUVs back because of its spacious interiors, yet the upholstery and everything else in the cabin has been designed and covered with wood which looks pretty simulated and non-natural. Thus the price of the car in no way justifies to its features.
Tata Safari Storme
Tata Safari Storme comes with many integrated features that have been upgraded and put up in the cabin. Safari Storme boasts of a dash-integrated music system which gives a high-quality surround sound experience all around the cabin. There is an integrated automatic climate control system embedded in the car which analyses the temperature and humidity inside the cabin of the car and adjusts it according to the comfort level of the passengers seated inside. The steering wheel also has audio controls installed in it and the car has a cruise control feature which help in enhanced control of the car. The car also comes with an integrated advanced GPS Navigation system.
ENGINE AND PERFORMANCE: -
The Force One is powered by a 2.2L powerful diesel engine which can boost up and give a peak torque of 312 Nm with a maximum power capacity or horsepower of 140 bhp. The mileage of the car is also impressive as the Force One has the capacity of giving a maximum efficient mileage of 10 kmpl on city roads and 17 kmpl on highways. This adds points to the car as SUVs usually run a little behind sedans which it comes to giving good and satisfactory mileage.
Tata Safari Storme
Ergonomically Tata Safari Storme is a little ahead of Force One as Tata has installed a power 2199 cc DOHC DiCOR engine which runs on diesel. Though the maximum horsepower pumped by both the cars is same and stands at 140 bhp at 4000 rpm but Tata Safari Storme gives a peak torque of 320 Nm at 1700 rpm. With this much of power under its hood Tata Safari Storme gives a mean acceleration and is a better option that Force-One.
Force One is equipped with safety features such as airbags, ABS, etc. The tires installed with the car are durable and provide good traction control. These tires have a strong grip over the road and prevent the car from skidding off its track. Along with this the car has fog lamps which provide bright luminance in case the visibility level is low.
Tata Safari Storme
Tata Safari Storme comes with advanced safety features such as Electronic Stability Control and 6 SRS airbags for the driver and co-passenger’s safety. Also featuring in the car’s safety kit are Electronic Brake System, Anti-Lock breaking system, Traction Control and Brake Assist.
Force One: - The base edition of Force One has been fixed at Rs.10.63 Lacs which is not that much justifiable owing to the features it has to offer.
Tata Safari Storme: - The price of Tata Safari Storme will be much more than that of its predecessor model due to its advanced upgraded features. Tata has fixed the prices of Safari Storme in the range of Rs.12-15 lacs.
If one has to choose between the two cars, then Tata Safari Storme is recommended more than Force-One due to its looks and ergonomics. Though the price of Safari Storme might be more, yet its features justify the price tag.
