Toyota Corolla Altis India Launch on 27th May

Only yesterday, we reported the all-new 2014 Toyota Corolla Altis India launch could happen by May this year. Now according to the reports, the launch is scheduled to happen on 27th May. Soon after the introduction, deliveries of the car are expected to commence in the first week of June. The dealerships have already started accepting bookings for Rs. 50,000 and its price is expected to retail for around Rs. 40,000 more than the price of current model. The Corolla Altis will be offered with both diesel and petrol versions. Alternatively, the diesel variant is propelled by a D-4D 4-cylinder 1.4 liter engine that’s good for producing 88.4PS of power @ 3800 rpm. The engine will be teamed up with a 7-speed CVT (continuously variable transmission) with shift paddles. The 2014 Toyota Corolla Altis looks more stylish as compared to the current model and features chrome grille with LED headlights and taillights. It will be available in seven color choices and is expected to get premium features such as push button start, eight-way adjustable driver seat, seven inch touchscreen entertainment system, rearview camera, LED daytime running lamps, keyless ignition, rain sensing wipers and shift paddles on automatic variant.
