Toyota launches limited editions of Etios, Corolla Altis and Fortuner







With an aim to boost sales during the festive season, auto giant Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced the launch of limited editions of three of its models, viz. Etios, Corolla Altis and Fortuner.

In a declaration, the company stated that Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has rolled out a line up of limited version models for the festival period. The assemble has been particularly launched to bring in new product enthusiasm during the said period.

The newly launched limited editions have been named the Etios TRD Sportivo, the Corolla Altis and the Fortuner TRD Sportivo.

The limited editions of Etios and Corolla Altis sedans have been made available in petrol as well as diesel options.

The petrol version of the new Etios has been priced at Rs 6.25 lakh, while the diesel version of the sedan costs Rs 7.31 lakh (ex-showroom price Delhi), respectively. The limited editions of Corolla Altis costs Rs 11.51 lakh for the petrol option and Rs 12.90 lakh for the diesel option.

While talking about the development, TKM Deputy Managing Director (Marketing) Sandeep Singh stated, “We have launched a complete new assortment of limited edition vehicles to offer our clientele something innovative and stylish for the festival period. Limited units of these vehicles are on sale till December to offer up uniqueness.”

The company said in a statement that it would sell only 1,200 units of the Limited Edition vehicles till the month of December this year.

Toyota Fortuner

Besides, Toyota will sell six hundred units of the limited edition of the Fortuner sports utility vehicle (SUV). This limited edition vehicle will also be sold only till December 2012. The new SUV has been priced at Rs 21.76 lakh and Rs 22.60 lakh for petrol and diesel version respectively.

In September, the Indian division of Japan-based auto giant Toyota had announced the launch of the limited edition of the Innova Aero.

Already struggling to digest a slowdown in sales, the Indian auto industry is now pinning its hopes on the festive season sales.
