The freshly announced recall will cover Altis models made between July 30 of the year 2008, and December 31 of the same year (2008), and Camry cars fabricated between September 1 of the year 2006 and July 31 of the same year.
As per a company declaration with regard to recall, ” Toyota Kirloskar Motor will recall about 8,700 vehicle units in the Indian market with the aim to check the power window master switch (PWMS).”
The statement also said that the company will carry out this drive on a voluntary basis.
The company’s statement added up, “On certain Corolla Altis and Camry cars of the particular years, the power window master switch may start to feel notchy or turn out of action. This can be because of wear and tear over-time, of precise contact details in the power window master switch.”
