Volkswagen India appoints Arvind Saxena as MD-Passenger Cars

It was on Wednesday that German auto giant, Volkswagen came up with an important announcement. The carmaker made the official announcement of appointing Mr. Arvind Saxena as Managing Director of Volkswagen Passenger Cars in India.

The company has handed over the responsibility of the brand’s Sales, After Sales and Marketing to Mr. Saxena. The newly appointed Managing Director of the company is to be based outside Mumbai to take care of the aforesaid responsibilities. The new appointment has brought in more excitement to Saxena, as well as the company. As on his appointment, Mr. Arvind Saxena was spotted commenting,”I am very happy to be part of Volkswagen and look forward to newer and more exciting challenges in one of the country’s most dynamic automotive company.”

The story of satisfaction and pleasure was justnot found to be restricted to Saxena only. The company officials too were quite exuberant and optimistic. Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd’s President and Managing Director, Mr. Gerry Dorizas’s statement justified the moment of exuberance on the new appointment. He said,” It is a pleasure to have Mr. Saxena on board with us, we are confident that his extensive experience in the Indian automotive sector will contribute towards the growth of the Brand.”

The German giant appointed a seasoned professional who has an exhaustive experience of around 30 years in the automobile industry. Only around a month back, Saxena resigned from the post of Sales and Marketing operations head at Hyundai Motor India Ltd. Back then in the month of his resignation, he had been reported to be looking at growth options in automobile giants, which included Volkswagen India as well. His appointment has actually brought in a new post in the company. Saxena is to take over the responsibilities and work earlier managed by NeerajGarg.
