2015 Chevrolet Captiva Launched For Rs 25.13 Lakh Ex-Showroom Delhi

The downturn of Captiva may have led the Trailblazer to take on the Indian roads. It seems the Chevrolet still thinks this SUV still has more time to spend in the Indian market till the other one gets ready. For the said, bowtie logoed carmaker introduced MY 15 Captiva 2.2 in the country for a starting price of Rs 25.13 lakh ex-showroom Delhi with manual version. The automatic trim comes priced for Rs 27.36 lakh.

On the basis of claims made by the automaker, the SUV boasts only new instrument cluster and ‘Cluster Ionizer’ for improved air quality inside the cabin.

Under the bonnet 2015 Captiva continues to hold the same 2.2-liter diesel that sends max power of 186.5bhp @ 3800rpm and peak torque of 400Nm @ 2000rpm. The 6-speed auto transmission and All Wheel Drive (AWD) system are optional on the list.

The SUV is also focussed with loads of safety features like ABS, six-airbags, pre-tensioners and height-adjustable system for the seat belts.

Commenting at the launch, Arvind Saxena, President and Managing Director at General Motors India, said, the company is growing on market shares, where this MY 15 Captiva will aid the plan further. This SUV is well-received across the world by the means of fresh styling, best-in-class quality and lots more. Adding further for the interests of Indian audience, Captiva is very economical on the pockets as well. Packed with power and performance, diesel fuel for the drivetrain tops the list. Given for this much of price, it is a lucrative model to look at when out in the market to a buy a SUV.
