Ashok Leyland Stile, which is a rebadged version of Nissan Evalia under the skin, is now finally launched in India at a delighting price of Rs. 7.49 lakh ex-showroom New Delhi.
Hence, Ashok Leyland designed the Stile in a very cost effective manner than the Evalia, but has kept power steering and AC as standard in all the ‘three variants’.
This cost-effective effort of Ashok Leyland has managed the brand to price its vehicle for Rs. 1.21 lakhs lesser than the Evalia, where the base variant of Evalia (XE) costs a one for Rs. 8.7 lakhs ex-Showroom, New Delhi. The price difference between both the vehicles helped Ashok to target its vehicle to one of the largest market in India i.e. fleet owners, hotel shuttle service provider, courier service operators, parcel vans, etc.
Hence, coming to the core, Stile is rolled out with the Renault sourced 1.5L K9k diesel engine in a low state of tune, producing 75bhp and 185Nm of torque (comparatively to the Evalia of 84.8bhp and 200Nm of torque), for yielding better fuel efficiency.
Stile recovers 22.5kms from a single of fuel, while the Evalia brings in only 19.3kms from a liter of diesel.
Stile is recommended to be built at same Oragadam plant under the precision of Renault-Nissan alliance.
