Audi Crossover Coupe Concept Leaks Before 2014 Detroit Motor Show Debut

Crossover and compact SUV segment have shunned the sophisticated bling of auto industry. And going even more extreme, the carmakers have a bomb to bombard at further coming auto shows. Stringed out directly from the leak room, Audi Crossover Coupe leaked by one of the sources before 2014 Detroit Motor Show. The cosmetic appeal on it resembles to some coupe like structures, which can be seen on existing Audi SUVs too.

Audi Crossover Concept speaks of a new designing language for the brand. Razor-sharpened headlights, compact front grille, plastic cladding on the lower body section, massive 19-inch wheels, and impressive roof rails are some the tweaks noticed. The cabin too went under knife and received some or the other changes with regards to sporty appeal. Otherwise, then whole aura of inside the cabin is of the typical ‘Audi’ attitude taken from the 2015 Audi TT coupe with digital instrument console and such.

However, there are no such concrete technical specifications to redeem this badge at the moment, but a 2.0L TFSI turbocharged petrol worth of 292bhp and 380NM of torque is speculated by some of the sources of industry. In fact, we speculate a diesel option too, but all of the doubts would be cleared when Audi will unveil this concept officially at the 2014 Detroit Motor Show.

On dimensions: 4200mm of length, 1850mm width and 1410mm height, with a wheelbase spanning to 2510mm ending on 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped around a 255/40 tires. The weighing-scale assumed to go up to 1,600 kg (3,527 lbs), and the body seems to be made from aluminum and carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP).
